I absolutely love the mini pro tank 3 and I have two of them and my wife has one as well. She also has an evod glass which is basically a mini pt3 and neither of us have any issues at all. Granted that we finally gave up stinkies on monday but these last two days we have been vaping up a storm over here and loving the switch. I put a single coil in one of the mini pt3s and it is insane! So weird to have such different experiences with the same products. We are very careful to buy only real stuff both online and in stores, I read up on this a lot before making the switch this time.

WOW...I have 3 MPT2's and an Aerotank and don't have any problems....of course I have only had them for about a month. I had a flooding problem with my Aerotank when I first bought it...but turned out to be a faulty coil (the only one I have had so far).

I will check into the Aspire products though for future purchases.

As far as an RBA, I have a Cyclone. It is a single coil RBA and seems to be fine. I use it at night sometimes, but tanks are just easier for me.

From the sound of what you have posted, I would REALLY recommend going Carto Tanks.I bought my

Mom this one, and I am truly jealous of her. It's a beautiful device..that's another good thing about cartos - even the top of the line, extravagant stuff is still reasonable:

You can spend a lot more money, and get less results. I have what many would consider to be top end gear, and if I can't be bothered, and am caught wanting a flavor that I would have to hassle with a tank, I will punch a coupla hole in a carto, put on the Loki, and have a GREAT vape.

The Aspire only sees use when the chances of loss/damage are just too high. And there are still heads and shoulders above Kanger.

I think that you would like it so much, that I am even a little excited for you, lol. Just look at this long assed post....BTW, good on ya with the Cyclone :)

yeah, its what I think as well. I went down that exact road, so did many people I know. Then six months later, you try them again and wonder what on earth you were doing...but I still try to keep an open mind, and be postitive :)

Can this unit be used with the "tank cracker" juices being that is acrylic? Not sure I like that the bottom is sealed...I like to be able to take my tanks completely apart to clean them and get out any juice when I want to change flavors.

Yes, it has a quartz tank I believe.

There are lots of Carto tanks out there. I just used that one, as it's an example of a top end carto tank, and is $50. The same level of any other atty would be $100-$200.

Also, be sure that you have a hold on what cartos and carto tanks are.

You can use a carto without the tank, but then it functions like a dripper.

With a carto tank, you punch a small hole or two in the side of the carto so the juice in the tank seeps into it (at it's most basic - there are premade setups as well)

It gives a nice, faintly warm, tasty vape, plenty of vapor, and is as easy to set up as an Evod.

I wonder how often that's the issue. I tried a couple of cheap PT clones, and they were complete crap (neither even works anymore). It's hard for me to understand how people seem to have so many problems with kanger stuff (if it's genuine). I've been using a bunch of different kanger tanks since the first PT came out, and haven't had any problems with them. They're especially great for me with my own coils and cotton wicks.

I thought they were all of it as well....at first.

It was just that they didn't last, and finding replacement coils that didn't leak, or burn, or crap out in a few days was a hassle

I have learned to rebuild my coils with 30ga Kanthal and cotton. My first one was right at 1.8ohm and worked great. Haven't tried the rest yet.

My unitank cracked today and I got several coils as back up. I heard those would fit on pro.tank 1 and 2. And also on 2 mini and evod. Which one is the best keeping in mind I just got pro.tank 3 few days ago. Best tank so far no leaked I filled over 10 times not even once. Lol anyways back to the question

I have PT2 MINI and PT3 MINI. I don't like the dual coils. A bit too warm for me and a bit of "point of diminishing returns" kind of thing for me personally.

I like to tinker. I've built the heads several ways. Two ohm single micro coils with cotton wicks work great for me. I'm currently running a vertical coil in the MPT3 MINI and it rocks. The air flow valves help but I had to bore the holes out a bit and added more holes as well. With a vv/vw device I get some great flavor. The Kangers can be really nice if you learn to dial them in a bit.

Not quite as good a flavor as my authentic Russian 91 though.

And the R91 can't create flavor on par with my drippers.

For daily out & about vaping I frequently still grab a Kanger. The way I have them set up they are reliable vaping gear.

I agree with previous posts that the aspires seem to be slightly better built units as compared to the kanger pt,pt2 product line. The aspire coils are more expensive but also way more consistant with vape quality and leaking issues.

With that said I like to tinker and through reading threads on ecf for awhile have come up with a near perfect kanger pt2, aerotank or mini v2 setup to use with any evod or ego battery (twists and spinners included).

Kanthal A1 30ga. 9/8 wrap .070 diameter Single TMC (tensioned micro coil) yeilding 1.9-2.0 ohms. Built with a simple near foolproof winding method and simple diy tool in under one minute for each coil. The tensioned winding method requires No Torching to create a perfect contact coil because the tension causes the wire to retain its shape when released from the winding tool.
For information on tensioned micro coils search ecf.

Wicked with cotton or nextel xc-132 if you have some extra cash burning that pocket up. With either wick type cut the coil wick just a little longer than normal, bend it upwards and tuck part of it under the chimney seal with a needle or tiny screwdriver. This prevents leaking through the wick channel above the coil wick and totally elliminates the need for those flavor killing "flavor wicks".

My kangers never ever leak even with 80/20 pg/vg and vape strong at 3.8 volts. Freight train clouds of vapor and great flavor with 50/50 at 4.5 volts on an ego twist. Thats 10 watts folks! And the cotton wick keeps up even when chain vaping.

Took my little souped up kanger mpt2 v2 on my 1000mah ego twist to my local B&M just to see if anyone would notice.
I thought my name had changed to "holy sh!it dude"!!!

So it's not an RDA on a mech mod but it is pretty amazing.
