Hi all,

I have a Riva 650 MAH battery, i've tried boge's and kangers but I find that they taste great on the first fill, but VERY Quickly the taste changes for the worst.

I am using 100% (as far as im aware) bobas bounty juice which I absolutely love in both Kangers and Boges, vapour is not a issue however I am finding after the first fill, subsequent refills only taste good per 1-2 drops. This is annoying because I am pretty much dripping every couple of puffs . Even though the carto is fully soaked, I will get great vapour just this strange burny taste, and excess liquid even drips through to the bottom of the carto because they are so full up...

Please can someone reccomend me a great cartomizer, either tank system or something else that works wonderfully with VG? Is it too good to be true a truely consistent cartomizer that I can fill and it tastes great until the end of the life of the carto, or am I forever doomed trying multiple cartomizers and never finding something that works for me :(

Close to giving up, pelase help
I am starting a new job soon and really would prefer not to carry a bottle of juice around with me... I want something reliable.

So far the only thing that has been consistent for me has been the Slim 510 battery with a 3.0 boge cartomizer, the taste stayed consistent everytime and forever. :( but the battery life is horrid on those so I really want to love my riva 650 mah

I absolutely love Boba's but not with a cartomizer. I use an atomizer and drip w/ my vg juices - the taste is excellent. A rebuildable atomizer may be something to check out. Not the easiest way to vape when you just are starting out but when you build one they last a long time and are a bit less expensive in the long run than buying atties or cartos.

Best of luck on your search!!

Hi Sarah, Are you empting the carto before the second fill? If you are than thats a big nokey dokey for low resistance cartos.I find the kangars hotter and easier to get that "burned" flavor, at which point theres no real fixing the taste. I use both boge2.0 and kangar2.0 on my equipment regularly and have no real issues getting five to seven days of use out of either brand before vapor production tapers off bad enough for me to open a new one. With low resistance you MUST top off fairly regularly. You are vaporizing much more liquid @2ohm than you are @3ohms.... like almost 90% faster than before. There is a learning curve that you must feel out. At one point i thought cartos where junk... I used a couple for a few hours and they started to get nasty flavor and i thought to myself thats only like 3 hours... That was then, now I do carry a bottle and I use a drip tip in the end of my cartos so that I can pop the tip and check to see that the filler is at minimum moist. While the tip is out I will drip a couple of drops until the filler is once again wet looking. Sometime a top-off is 3 drops sometimes it is 14 or more. Keep at it you will find Your pace and what you are comfortable with. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

Hi Sarah. I don't like that burnt taste either. I have moved away from low-resistance cartos for that reason. I like the better flavor I get from regular resistance cartos but to me they lose that taste after a few refills. I think the coils get 'gunked up' and that is what changes the flavor, at least for me. My friend vapes the same cartos over and over and over and doesn't seem to mind. I have a couple of the Vision Ego ( Stardust™ ) 1.5ml cartos and like them a lot but I wind up dry burning them after each tankful. That's a lot of hassle but at least they are cleanable. Other than that I just buy as many cartos as I can afford, all standard resistance. Last order was Kanger horizontal coil XL length, which I understand can be disassembled/dry-burned but is even more of a hassle than the Stardust. I noticed in one Kanger XL carto where the coil was near the middle of the carto, which I don't understand- it must have been a mfg mistake?- it didn't work well at all. I ordered standard length this time and will see if they are better. Anyway, I like Ikenvape's cartos- very good, consistant draw. Boge and Kanger- pretty good but sometimes I use a 510-510 adapter to help with the draw. Sorry for rambling..... Cheers.

Do you chainvape? Bc that could be what's causing the burning taste. VG juices don't wick as fast, and if you chainvape, its very possible to start getting a burnt taste bc your vaping faster than the carto can wick the thick juice, even if the cartos full. Try giving the carto alittle time to catch back up and see if that helps.

I also recommend trying some Smoktech cartos. The filler in Smoktech cartos is wrapped considerably looser than say a Boge carto, and I find they work well with VG juices if used properly.
I use the Smoktech 1.7ohm XL cartos (also called Ressurectors)with Bobas Bounty in a 3.5ml tank. The Ressurectors are awesome and they give a great vape. Bobas does clog cartos faster than a thin mostly PG juice, but I still get on avg 1-2 weeks with one Ressurector in my 3.5ml tank that's filled with Bobas
