I love my Protank 2's but having a solid pin mechanical mod, it's like trying to suck a watermelon through a hose. I saw a post on ECF where someone had mentioned these control valves so I ordered two and just got them in today. I have been vaping on them this afternoon and have to say I love them. They are easily adjustable to get your perfect draw. There are four holes spaced evenly around the middle and a ring that screws up and down to cover and uncover them. The valve replaces the normal bottom ring on the Protank and has a solid positive pin so NO MORE LEAKY MESSES! They work with Protank 1's or 2's and can be had for about 5 bucks each at The Electronic Cigarette Super Store | myvaporstore.com. The only downside is that the easily adjustable ring tends to get accidentally adjusted when you remove the atty from your mod. I plan to add a rubber band or o-ring to ride beneath the adjustment ring, keeping it in place.

Tried to include photos but apparently I fail at this.

i personally cant get enough of my areo base... i love the thing. i got one cause i was having the same "smothered intake" as you,and this fixed my issue and then some. it helped the flavor just a bit being able to get more air in and also produces slightly bigger clouds. but, anyway, right on man. im glad you like it as much as i do (and seemingly everyone else who has tried it)
also,mine is on a pt2.
