I made it 15 months cig free and was down to 3mg nic during the day and 0mg nic at night. I've had a couple hiccups with sensitivity which went mostly went away at the low doses. Anyhow, I held off on getting a *real* setup until 3mg and stayed with the ego c-twist used the whole way. Unfortunately the death of three close people and start of a new job in the same time frame re-introduced me to cigs (I smoked from age 10 to 40) just 3 weeks ago...
To avoid continuing down that road I went to a trusted vape shop and grabbed the Cupti and was planning on searching again for something like the iStick 30w, while using the ego when needed (or when chain vaping). The next day i tried the Cupti at 30w (not mouth to lungs), 6mg nic at 60vg/40pg, as suggested by the vape shop and used it a couple times, but mostly used the ego. By night my throat and lungs were done. I tried again the next morning with same effect (literally 3 puffs). I was not liking it, at all. I put it down and went back to the vape shop and the coil was black and burnt after barely being used. The shop primed a new coil, set me up, told me to turn down the wattage to 22 and sent me on my way. It's now two days later and I went to fill the tank (tank was half full). Lo and behold, the coil was black and burnt, again. Also, the battery meter will drop a notch in a whole 5 minutes of a couple vapes intermingled with the ego as I walk around the building during my breaks. The one thing I could tell is that I was getting more nic and staving off any cig cravings.
I'm frustrated. I've barely used the thing and I'm now wondering why I'm even looking at other devices. When I have used it, I've preferred the ego c-twist after a couple tries. When I use the ego, I tend to chain vape, but it produces better flavor, smoother throat hit and is keeping the cigs away so there's that. I have no clue if it's user error at this point. Or is it the device? I wanted it for the ease of vape breaks at work and a better mechanism for nic delivery as I do the whole cig quitting again. I hate feeling imprisoned like this and even more stressed. Any advice from some of the veterans? Thanks. I appreciate it.
