Aren't they just standard ego threaded batteries? Any ego style battery should work. The ones that come with the kit are 3.7V 650 ma I think. But you could go with an ego twist, 1000 ma, etc. The higher the ma number the less often you have to recharge. The 650 ma typically last about 1/2 day of vapiing.

I guess it depends on how much you vape and your coil resistance.

I find genuine eVod batteries to be among the better ones available. Mine are basic 650 mAh non-VV batteries and I use a 1.5-1.8 ohm coil. As a pretty heavy vaper, I get 4-5 hours before the dreaded flashing light. I have eVods that are still going strong after 15 months.

Hi freeman126!

The Evod batteries bring back memories! I was using them this time last year! Unfortunately those specific batteries are not held in the highest esteem to say the least! That's their performance in general. I would recommend for you to go a bit more advanced with things. Try the Innokin CLK? It has a 5V max twist mechanism and retails between £25-£30 if you're located in the UK.

Good luck with thimgs! :)

I really like EVODs but only with higher resistance coils and mostly with reducable voltage batteries. Otherwise burning on the long drags that are needed, although I have tried them on my mech with cotton wicking to keep up and that's cool, no hit timer! I've had luck with some real cheapie batteries.

Guessing, not that I keep good track, you should be able to get a tank at least on a 650 maH battery, if you don't battery is crappy, but if you're using multiple tanks a day you need something a little bigger, say a Spinner 1600 maH (clones may claim 2200). Or just carry enough.

Of course, you are correct, but how a newbie finds the correct forum here remains a question to me. For example, I started seriously vaping using whatever EVOD clone MyFreedomSmokes sold me. I've been at this for a couple months and still don't know what coil unit will work with my clearomizers, or (even more fundamentally) what clearomizers will fit on my batteries). I've learned, but it has been by trial and error, not from anything provided in this forum (of course, I may not have been looking ing in the correct places, but isn't that the general error a newbie might make?).

All EVOD/Protank/Protank 2 (NOT 3) coils, including Kanger, will work on that one and most value clearos. However, for the $1.25 EVOD clearo on cigabuy, the fullsize chimney'd Kanger coils will not fit. I'm not aware of any others like that. The clearo thread is eGo -- all those large threads are. The battery will fit any eGo or 510 thread, almost everything, and it will drive most clearomizers with enough power, but not high power attys.

It can be confusing, there's a lot of odd looking bits of coil units and stuff avail. ... and actually almost everything has a 510 thread somewhere, you can even screw an Aspire coil into a Protank base, just can't do anything with it.
