Hey all. Fairly new to vaping and apologize if this is the wrong place to ask but my kangertech evod pro is spitting at me. It is most annoying. Wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if this is fixable or should I just go buy something else? I have watched several videos on this product but no one seems to touch on this issue with this model. Oh coils primed. Thanks all!

Welcome.

The Evod Pro uses CLOCC coils. Google "CLOCC coil problems/spitting/gurgling" and follow the trail.

My fear is because it's a cup design, you might be wasting your time. I wasted too much time on Joyetech Cubis & AIO coils... great in theory, less reliable in the real world.

Thanks! Trying one thing now. What in your opinion is the best vape for a bigginer? I'm not looking to sink a bunch of money into it yet.

There are a ton of products and opinions on which is best. From my experience the kanger topbox kit is excellent. I started with a more advanced setup and bought this kit as a backup. I'm using it with the rba built to a little over 1 ohm with the air flow pretty tight. You can use the stock coils but it's cheap and convenient to not have to buy them. The taste is excellent and it's pretty easy on juice and battery life compared to my other tanks. I have a good amount of more cloud chucking oriented gear but that one's still in my daily rotation.

I have an evod pro as well and it has spit at me too. I notice it when the battery is low mostly but sometimes I notice it when the battery is fully charged. The best way I've found to prevent spitting is to hold the button down for a second or two before I take a drag, this seems to prevent it for the most part. I really like my evod.

Currently, there are a lot of varieties. AIOs are common. AIOs can be fine but not splitting the tank and battery does limit choice. Regardless, the choice of coil (atomizer replacement head) is really important. I don't rate cup coils or the old style protank/evod much either.

Welcome and glad you joined. Grego25 has given you some good input. You could use our search function located at the top right hand corner of this post and type in " Name or product problems". (kanger topbox kit problems)
Might want to do non sub-ohm first, ie. coil rated over 1 ohms. You will get great flavor but the cloud production is not as intense as you can produce with sub ohm'g.

..continuing...

If you simply want a plug & play (ie not rebuilding coils) vaping pen or box mod, then something that takes the Aspire BVC coils or the Eleaf Air (GS) Coils is as good as it gets *for vaping 10-15 watts*
