Kangertech mega aerotank coil question

Just received my mega and I was wondering what or if there are any old style coils that will fit the mega. Mine came with the new style coils. I prefer to rebuild my coils and the old ones are so easy. I tried one out of a pt2 which works great in my aerotank but it leaked really bad in my mega.

Curious - Did you try an extra silicone chimney cover turned upside down on the chimney?
That’s how I keep the single coil heads from leaking in my aerotank mini / aerotanks

Yeah the dual coils are taller so when you put the old single coil one in, there is a space above it so you need to seal that space to prevent liquid getting up in the center tube and gurgling.

Yeah I tried this. On my regular aerotank I just turn the one cup upside down and it works great. Maybe I will try another coil later I put a rebuilt coil in it with the cups as shown so it could have been the wicking allowing it to leak.

The older exposed wick Kanger Dual coils fit in the Aero Mega.

I gave a buddy of mine one of my rebuilt aerotank coils for his mega and it worked flawlessly.
