I have the pro tank II and III and really dont see any diferance in performance. Also have found excellent deals on the kanger T3S. Holds 3ml juice and is a bottom coil. Picked up a 5 pack off ebay last week for $17. I have 14 of them now (broke one and it is glass).
Thanks for the tip... waiting my $ to become available in PayPal for one of those 5 packs hope they don't run out. ;) Plus waiting on the Stalk to deliver an Aspire K1 to chase the flavor dragon. Will also try the airflow base for MPT2 oh yeah, hope I have $ left over for Ejuice. lol Lots of nice hardware & no E-juice; What a newbie way to go down...

Hi Fstop and welcome.

I have tried many Kanger clearos--and I like and use them all. I do not rebuild, but they are rebuildable, with a bit of practice. If you want to rebuild your single Kanger coils, there are many great tutorials on YouTube--just search for Kanger coil rebuilds. The duals are harder to rebuild, for obvious reasons, but some people have figured out how to it, also.

If you like single coils, enjoy your ProTanks 2 (regular and mini). i also like the eVod and T3S clearos. Simple to use, coils are a snap to clean. If you want to improve airflow on your single-coil clearos, get some Aerotank bases--they work just fine with single coils.

Kanger Upgraded Stainless Steel Original Aerotank Base. Compatible with Protank I, II, 3, Aerotank.

KangerTech Mini Aerotank Base - Sun-Vapers.com Compatible with mini Protank 1, 2, 3, and mini Aerotank.

If you want to try dual coils, I highly recommend you get an Aerotank--regular or mini, with the new airflow control base. They are wonderful--they produce more vapor at lower wattages and I'm a big fan.

Good luck!

Hi, what does the airflow control do for the flavor of the vape Kataya? & Thanks

Love my PT2 mini but I wish I would've bought the full size one so I didn't have to refill it so often. Won't be going PT3 cause they eat juice and aren't rebuild able. Rebuilding the PT2/Evod coils isn't that bad. Read ALL the threads here and just get the right tools, its a lot easier than it looks to clone the stock spaced coils..

I don't know about the mini protank 2 but i have a mini protank 3. got it for my tank-buster juices. at this point it seem on par with my Evod 2. uses the same dual bottom coil replacement parts (i'm cheap and just starting out) so that's a plus. i'm hearing good things about the Genitank with the adjustable air flow as well.

Hi, what does the airflow control do for the flavor of the vape Kataya? & Thanks

I don't think it does anything to flavor per se, but it's critical to the vapor quality. If your draw is too tight, it's like drinking a milkshake through a thin straw--and you're more likely to get a dry hit. If your draw it too loose, you're inhaling more air than vapor, and that can get very frustrating.

A combination of variable voltage and adjustable airflow lets you finetune your vape exactly to your liking, depending on whether you're using high VG or high PG eliquids, higher or lower wattages, single or dual coils.

Thank you Kataya, helps alot because I'm new to vaping and 0 cigs : 78 days; A week at 0 Nicotine Level and really frustrated with my sometimes on, sometimes off vaping satisfaction. I have momentary fits where I just want to gather up all the batteries, tanks, ejuice take it all outside and throw it in the garbage or smash it up.
I have a iClear 30BDC that leaks from the little hole on inside the screw part into my battery. So i know that can't be good for the battery which I keep cleaning and lay the tank on it's side. Will a new coil head fix the leak? I take the tanks off the batteries when not vaping to protect the batteries. I'm not sure if I like this tank. Maybe I'm not setting it to the right voltage, seems to change with flavors.

Love my MPT 2 but with either sometimes I feel like I'm just a sucker!!! Sucking in air with no satisfaction.

I don't care for iClear clearomizers at all myself. I don't like top coil clearos so I don't use them--can't help you much here.

But I've been using Kanger clearos for a long time without issues. You ProTank will most certainly benefit from an air control base; I didn't like the airflow on my original PT 2 very much.

My favorite Kanger clearos are mini Aerotank, T3S, ProTank with airflow control and eVod. I don't particularly like the PT 2 mini, for some reason.

Kanger recommends 5-7.5 watts for their coils. Coils need to be cleaned and eventually replaced--they are disposable.

Are you sure that 0 nicotine is OK? Maybe you need more?

Thanks Katya; Good to know about the recommended wattage. Turning down wattage on mpt2 to the middle of the road 6-6.5 & test. My iClear is 30 bottom dble coil, got good reviews from 'Indoor Smokers' so I tried it, not leaking laid down on its side. Just ordered some new tobacco e-juice.

You need a bit more wattage with dual coils:

And more tips on using Kanger clearos:

Good luck!

Katya, of course I read your links they are now bookmarked in my How to arsenal... Just was responding to djvapors ques. For one, I think I, learned
Kanger Evod 1000 mAh does not have enough watts for the iClear 30B duel coil system. Which for me raises the question: Are Duel Coil tanks worth the over head they introduce into the equation. So for me now, dual coils are out. I'm only interested in enhancements that improve flavor not increase vapor. I'm sure there is a relationship between flavor & vapor but I will leave that to the Guru. I just happy not to be sucking tasteless air. Thank you Katya for the guides to use & maintain the gadgets & keep the taste flowing.

Pokemom, Aspire K1 BVC 1.8, arrived yesterday, what battery and settings do you use with yours? Its a unitank - non replaceable tank. Waiting on some e-juice to try on it. Problem is that my favorite tobacco e-juice taste like cr--p on anything I try it on now, except would u believe a V2 cig alike w/ an ExBlank which only works intermittently, it turns my liquid to light brown gel.

Waiting on mini PT Airflow Control Valve. On my Flavor Chase came across a good instructional video I have to watch again: ▶ HOW TO GET MORE FLAVOR OUT OF YOUR E-CIG/APV - YouTube

Does anyone know what the wattage rating is for KangerTech VV Evod 1000mAh? I've searched the question for wattage rating specs and came up with nothing.

Just an FYI MPT2 A2.8 @ 39V @7.0 W is giving me a decent flavor on a tobacco combo of my favorite which has been tasting like u know what & 2nd favorite of a desert ship type flavor. So I'm not going nuts, thanks to Katya's posts & links.

Thanks

Great! I was worried you had another one. :)
Well now that Katya explained the dual coil rating system requires upping the wattage to almost dble because you have to consider double single coil ohm ratings. Its my mint/tobacco combo tank best works on iTazte around 8.5 - 9 W. MPT2 is flavorful with its new 2.5 cartridge reading @ A2.8 Sigh of releif, here.
Aspire K1 is sporting a 1.8 rated coil & its tank is filled w/ what used to be my favorite light cigarette non sweet tobacco - Congress.. flavor delivery is as close as I have been in days on VV 1000mAh @ 3.4-3.5 V . It gets hot so I put it down right away to cool it, think it will hit the target with 2.1 ohm rated coil. Wish it had a replaceable pyrex glass tank, guess i just have to be extra careful w/ it.
