I've noticed they stopped selling them in shops here (UK). I was told in the vape shop I go to they've stopped manufacturing but maybe take that with a pinch of salt. They're pretty reliable but just because they're not stocking them anymore doesn't necessarily mean that.

Certainly if they've stopped manufacturing them they're still selling their backlogs as they're definitely available online.

I use the sub mini (i think that's what it is anyway) much less these days but always found it a good tank when I was doing DTL more - apart from the leakage through airholes which seemed to be a common problem with many tanks of that era.

I never used the sub-tank mini -- I use the top tank mini which is very similar pretty regularly and have no leaking out of it. I only use it with the rba. I have added some more modern rta's to my arsenal, however, I really like my toptank.

I would give it a shot, and I don't have much to say other than coilbuilding was a really difficult skill for me to learn etc. I have a fine motor tremor and there really is no substitute for just practicing until you get "good enough" and eventually, you will. My coils are not works of art, and there are times I use premade coils, especially for the fancier stuff, but the vape you will get out of it will be rewarding.

Cotton bacon is just fine to use. I use rayon instead, but you most certainly can start with whatever looks easiest to use. If you ever decide you want to experiment with different wicking materials there is a whole thread on rayon. With that said, they both have their pluses and minuses, but the good news is they're also both really inexpensive.

ps : I actually didn't think i would find this stuff here today. I haven't searched for it from any USA retailers for ages, and when i did they didn't have any. I get mine, same stuff, from Muji in the UK. After reading your posts i thought i'd have a quick look for you seeing as your looking for decent cotton. A hell of a lot of people use Muji cotton for vaping.

Plus, you have the added bonus of using it to remove makeup too !.
