Hello all,

I switched from smoking to vaping about a week ago. Picked up subox mini starter kit from a local vape shop. I enjoyed it for first few days however, i wanted to try switching air-flow set-up [it was set to almost maximum airflow], i found that it is stuck to that setting. Can't move to one or two holes set-up.

Second issue is, after i take 5-10 hits, i notice juice sticking in my drip-tip. Vapor seems to be too wet and i can feel some liquid in my nostrils during/after a session. I am using 0.5 Ohm, 32 V. I take ~15 hits in a session and have ~10 sessions a day.

This makes me wonder if there are any issues with my kit? Am i ingesting small portion of juice via vapor? is my kit authentic Or am i using it right?

Could you experts please advise?

What vg is your liquid mate. And have you held the bottom part of the subtank with the coil removed under a hot tap then tried twisting the air flow ring goes both ways but some times it easier to twist on way or the other. Back to vg levels if your vg levels are low it makes your juice a bit runny. I have the opposite issue to you sometimes my juice struggles to wick cos it's to thick. Cloud chasers sky liquid is perfect with these tanks for me. Good luck.

Oh one more thing I'm far from an expert I'm what they call a tank ....... But I am moving to doing my own builds. Also 32 watts on this little coil is pushing it a bit you may of burnt up your cotton a bit making it seep. I'm only using 16.2 watts on this tank and get some pretty big clouds and really nice flavour. My crown tank on the other hand comes alive at around 80 watts. Again best of luck.

Subtank mini with the factory made 0.5ohm coils has a sweet spot around 20w - 30w. Running it past 30w will increase the likelyhood of burning cotton and coil, those juice channels in the atomizer can only flow so much into. Try a thinner juice with 50/50 ratios if you want to hit that thing at 30w. If you like having it higher up in power level, get a different tank. The Arctic tank is good from 40w - 120w on stock coils, you can chain vape with no dry hits. The Magnus tank is also another high-power contender.

As for your stuck AFC ring, you bought the subox kit no ? You have the 2nd version of the subtank mini, it has a air inlets on both sides of the tank, you should have three sizes. A pinhole, a medium, and full open. You cannot have just one air inlet open at a time, the AFC is designed to flow both sides, regardless of hole diameter chosen. You should be able to freely spin the ring around and have it click onto each size setting. If its stiff / is not moving at all, thats a problem.

Juice in the drip tip is condensation from your vapor slicking the walls of the tip, the drip tip that comes with the subtank is large but the inside does not taper down and let it flow back to the coil easily, try a diff tip. I have the same problem with the STM driptip on mine, so I just use the one from my Lemo 2 which has a slight gradient inside to let excess drip down into the coil.

Best of luck.

Thanks mate. I have "uncharted" juice with 50/50 PG/VG and 12mg nicotine. Now, i know i have to move down on my wattage.

Yes, i bought subox kit. It has a air-inlets on both sides but it's stuck. I tried hard today using my hand to move it and it moved to two holes on each side but again it's stuck there and it can't go back. I am not bale to freely spin the ring around. I will probably try hot water drill tonight.

I will also get new drip tip. Thanks so much for help.

1.5 is for mouth to lung hits just like you smoke a normal cigarette. The .5 is more for lungs hits. Like sucking on a ..... But the wattage will be even lower with the 1.5 and you'll need to use the smaller air holes to get better resistance for a tighter draw.

I replaced my 0.5 ohm OCC with 1.5 ohm today. Using at 15 watts. Vape is ok and flavor is less. But that will do until i receive 0.5 ohm replacement coils.

you should consider rebuilding your own. you will have control over the coils and wicking. i personally don't like the stock coils so i like to rebuild the rba depending on vg% i'm vaping at
