Why not get a real rba that works

The rba is for drippers. I don't have the time for that.
As for the Kangertech with RBA ,,,,I have it but have not used it. The concept of the e-liquid coming up the channels to the bottom of the wick don't sound like a great concept.[/QUOTE]
It works amazingly well provided you use it perfectly. It's kinda fiddly if you have an unaltered rba section.

Lead in brass also leaches to the surface under high temperature.

What is a high temperature? It's all relative. I err on the side of the caution.

After contemplating the potential risks of drilling through the chrome plated brass, and NOTING that Kangertech makes all brass coils ( without copper plating ) , as sold by e cig suppliers, I've decided that at the end of 4 months of using my newly designed coil head I would have a test to see if any lead is present in my system.
After seeing the all brass coil heads, I truly don't think there is an issue here, but will check.
As for the chrome plating that our ejuice is in contact with, I'm sure someone will raise alarm with that.
And let me add that the chrome plating on these parts from china, is the cheapest chrome plating that exists, soooo here's more for alarm.
I have tried the Kagertech RBA head and have to say its pretty dam good.
Now comes the alarm of Stainless Steel in contact with the ejuice.

If I'm gonna sweat over all this I'll either
1-Go back to analogs.
2-Keep vaping and not give a worry about all the vaping discourages.
3-Just drop dead and have not a care in the world.
So I've decide and I'll go with 2,,,, until 3 gets me.

As I stated above, this Monday I will pay the doctor a visit and ask if a blood test can be done to show any lead in my system.
Not only have I been using this modified coil design exclusively I also adjusted the drill bit to a larger 4.5mm as well as a 4.5mm OD coil.
The flavor, taste and clouds are fantastic with nothing close to a dry hit.
I've found stuffing the wicking into the coil after threading it through makes for this coil to wick nicely.

The new Kangertech coils I have left over from their first design were put together like crap. 4.5mm OD coil with 2.7mm wicking holes. Then they put a huge piece of cotton that fits the wick but clogs the air flow and gets dry hits even if you use straight PG. Wonder what those that don't re-build think of them.
I got the idea for the larger OD coil from them.

On a last note:
Everything I've read about brass and copper being no good when in contact with juice points to high temperature interacting to create the bad issues.

You can get lead from a great number of sources. Ejuice through a drilled hole in an atomizer probably isn't gonna end up being a primary source.

Back to the first post, tanks use the vacuum created by sucking on the tip to draw juice into the wicks. Setting the airflow more open will reduce the vacuum, and cause less juice to be drawn into the wicking. Kinda backwards from what you really want, but tank/coil/head makers try to strike a compromise. Higher VG juice will need more vacuum to get it drawn into the wicks properly, and coupled with wide open air holes can cause the need for more juice than what you're getting.

Throwing out the lead concerns, you did right. Anytime I modify a tank for better airflow I always back it up with opening up the wick channels/slots. Not doing so is just asking for burnt hits. I try to keep my juices at the maximum VG I can achieve, usually 80 to 90 percent, and my VG is never diluted.

I say have fun with it if you feel safe. Nothin' like learnin' how to make the car run faster.
