Kanthal d and Kanthal a whats the diff?

Hey guys! Whats the difference between kanthal d and kanthal a wire can i still use k-d for a coil? i am getting mixxed thoughts on this it seems i have to pay another 20 bucks for k-a for shipping since its not in my country cheers guys
