Kanthal Safe?

What is the safest resistance wire? Im trying to make a non toxic ecig. I want medical grade resistance wire and ceramic wick. Ive got the ceramic wick but cant find anything on the different wire or higher grades? I have a Thermovape CERA but need something smaller and pocket friendly.

I would think a 304 or 316 grade stainless steel would be your best bet here. I am a machinist by trade and these are most common materials allowed when making parts that are "food grade" or "sanitary".
