Kanthal & Wicks

Hi, long time listener, first time caller...

So whats the scoop on getting A-1 32 or 34AWG and some decent non-sili wicks? I'm talking no Ebay, preferrably unbleached/untreated cotton, real Kanthal...

Not sure on the kanthal (I use nichrome) but as for non silica wicks ive seen people use type VII gauze, unbleached untreated yarn from walmart, bamboo (dont remember where they acquired it) and SS mesh

my new personal favorite wick is cotton candle wick wrapped with SS mesh....as for wire, i use 32A kanthal, and also if i need non resistance wire, i get either .999 silver or 32 nickel, depending on what i can find on amazon that day lol
