Hi ecf,
Got a small question regarding using cotton wicks vs silica.

I've ordered this from ebay, Silica Wick with Kanthal.
Then I heard about the health concerns regarding Silica, did some research about cotton wicks but I have no idea on how to get my hands of some.
I know you have to make sure its unbleached and to boil it for 30 mins etc.

Would this or this cotton wick do the job ?.

Richard
Thanks in advance. :vapor:

Looks good, will order some soon and try both ideas out.

Thanks for the fast reply
Richard

FYI. I boiled for only a few minutes and it left the taste of cotton/hemp in the vape. I now boil it for 20 minutes and then use it. If you're out and need to rebuild and can't wait to dry it, cut some off and microwave it dry.

Anyone know where to get organic cotton for wicks? I saw one poster uses organic cotton yarn but no links were posted (and he hasn't been here in 2 months or I would have sent a PM). :)

EDIT: Well, found these too: 100 Organic Cotton Wick 15ft 3mm for Atty | eBay ... but now I am wondering if Ekowool wrapped around organic cotton ( like these New Double Twik Ekowool and Organic Cotton Yarn Hybrid Wick for Atomizers | eBay ) would keep the cotton from tending to burn... A bit pricey though.

Anyone using cotton wicks have problems with burn issues?
