Hi guys. I got some kanthal wire at vape-a-palooza. I got 32 gauge. 4 wraps gave me 1.9 ohms 3 wraps gave me 1.6 ohms. So I've ordered 50 feet of 28 gauge from ebay for 3.75 free shipping. What other gauges should I get? And what about ribbon wire? What are the sizes and recimendations on it.
I'm looking at getting coils from .8 to 1.4 on a rsst a aga-t2 a nimbus clone and a kanger protank.

All information and advice is appreciated.
I watched videos before I rebuilt my RSST. And will do the same with the others.

I like 30 gauge mainly because it's easy for my to get a 1.2 - 1.5 ohm coil. It's not to thin and doesn't pop as easy like the 32 and I don't need to wrap it 10 times to get a 1.5 resistance like I do with 28 gauge.

Check out this like. About half way down the page is a graph that compares ribbon wire to standard Kenthal. I should give you an idea about what kind of resistance you can expect. I can't speak to how accurate it is because I have never used ribbon wire.

Thanks for all the info. I just ordered some 30 gauge and I'll leave the ribbon alone till I get better at wrapping. Good info on the link.
Again. Thanks a lot.

For my RDAs, I like 30-gauge for dual-coils. That usually leaves me with 0.7 ohms. If I'm building for another type of device, it keeps me in a safe range without having to use too many wraps. Most of my friends from the local vape shops use 28-gauge for 0.3 ohm dual-coils, but they're mostly cloud chasers. Sometimes I marvel at their vapor and get a bit jealous, but those guys go through juice crazy fast.
