She did get the cast off and now has a walking boot. So far, she still can't really put weight on it, though. The doc says it's fine, but she says that it hurts too much at the moment. She's still testing it and trying to use it a little more to work up to being able to walk on it, so I guess we'll just have to see how it goes.

mods nut with some electronics. I guess the best thing I can do for those is go by the color of the fire button led, which changes to red at 3.7v
The DX200s I can use escribe I suppose (I think?) to tell what the output level is.
Well, you can always test the battery level with a DC volt meter. Just remove the atty and put the positive lead on the center pin and the negative lead on the
threads of the 510 connecter. Then hit the fire button and see what the meter says the voltage is.
