I'll definitely take the WInter we've had so far. Spring is definitely in sight, it hasn't been overly cold or snowy. DW and I are definitely thinking of our Spring camp projects, hope to start things up later this month.

Kaez, glad that DB got her walking boot...I'm sure it will just take a little time and she'll be getting around on it before you know it...more prayers and good vibes sent for good news tomorrow. :nun:

Had Princess Angel all weekend, from Friday night until this morning...I was actually looking forward to work, just to get a break. :p:lol:...Actually took her to the bf's this time and it was the first time our big baby, the big goofy dog, had ever been around a toddler, and have to share our attention...it actually went pretty good, and once the pup realized that she was good for giving out snacks, he wouldn't leave her side.

Thank you, hun! Glad to hear that y'all had such an awesome time with the Princess!

So glad it is off. Hope it heals completely quickly. But hope she takes it easy while it's still painful. Wishing y'all the very best on the CT results darlin!!!

Well, we get to go see the pain doc tomorrow, so hopefully he'll have some magic pills that'll help with that. ;)

Hey kids, I'm back. Had a family thing to attend to. I posted about it here if you care to read it. Tootle Puffers, Part Three! (The Sequel of the Redux)

@Kaezziel I saw DB's cast is off. Good luck with the tests. Fingers crossed for good news.

{{{{{{{{{{Bea}}}}}}}}}} I can't even imagine to understand the pain and hardship of that. Love and Light, Dear...

As for the news... well, I'll get to that in a sec.

Well, hello. How is everyone?

I am still alive. Just recoverin slowly, but surely. Heading to Docs today to hopefully have stitches removed. Getting more mobile as time goes on.

Glad to see ya, Brother! Hope the doc gets the stitches out and that you're up and mobile very soon!

The Demon Spawn burst into the garage when I was bringing BDD in from a potty break :grr:  :sneaky:

Tried to lure him with a string of beads. He wouldn't bite. Was under my car and kept moving when I would reach under for him. Called Uncle Kerm and told him about the "string of profanities that would make a sailor blush" kitten and asked if he'd come blockade. He was able to reach right under and snag the little rat-bastage. :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr:

I am most displeased. The little monkey is waltzing around the house as if nothing happened

And the Dr. wonders why I have high blood pressure......

LMFAO!! Gotta love kittens... it's a good thing that they're so darn cute at that age, or they'd never make it to adulthood!

Okay, as for the results of the CT scan... not good news. The trial meds aren't doing their thing. The tumors have grown and they are taking her off of those meds. She will no longer be in that particular trial. But, the doctors in the trial center are having a meeting today to discuss cases and her doc will be bringing her case to their attention so that they can brainstorm and try to find another viable trial for her. She will have to be off of any treatment for about a month so that her system can clear all of the old meds out, and with any luck, they will find something else to try by that time. Needless to say, yesterday was a bit disheartening, and it doesn't help that we have no idea where things are going to go from here. We're in a "wait and see" mode hoping for a phone call to tell us that they've found another alternative. The only silver lining that I can find right now is that she'll be able to get her second cataract surgery done in the interim, and hopefully her bones will heal faster now that she is off chemo. Other than that, I'm pretty much drained... I've got very little else to hang on to that will let me keep a positive attitude for her sake.

So sorry, my Brudder :( Lifting you and DB up in prayer :nun:

I am so humbled by your outlook (as I sit in my corner mumbling about a stoopid kitteh ;) ) Peace and blessings to you, Sweetheart.... and to your DB

    Good morning SweetPea!

Good morning, SweetHeart! Sorry to hear that things are kinda still in limbo for you, too. Hopefully things will settle very soon.

Show up just long enough to tease us!

Yeah... just still trying to find my bearings and get things going here at work. I kinda expected that news, but it seems that I just wasn't quite as prepared for it as I thought I was.

Oh come on... you know better than that. My outlook is pretty dire, but I'm still trying to keep that brave face. And you have a LOT more going on than just the kitteh, and we all know it. And yet, you're still here lending a shoulder to any one of us who needs it. Much love, Darlin'... always.

    Kaezziel, :nun:

Thank you, my Slothy Rayon Brother. Prayers are always appreciated! :)

It is what it is, my Brother. This is just another lump of coal in the forge that will eventually turn us into steel. We will be stronger for it in the end. And, as always, you remain in my thoughts and prayers as well. :)

First let me apologize for barging in here. I realize this a family/group thread and normally I would not intrude into such but I saw Kaz on the New Posts list earlier and I wanted to see how things were going with him. We used to chat a bit in another thread awhile back so I was aware of his situation and I often wondered how his DB was doing.

Anyway, I guess my timing wasn’t so great given what I just read but I did want to tell you Kaz that your DB has more fans and cheerleaders than she even knows about as do you for that matter. I continue to think of you both and send positive vibes for your well being. The love and strength that you both have shown and continue to exhibit is truly an inspiration.

You are always welcome, Brother. Anywhere; anytime. Thank you so very much for the kind words, and for wanting to catch up on our journey. It means much to me that you would care enough to drop in to say so. I don't really get around the boards as much as I used to, and tend to stick to this one most of the time, but one of these days, I'll manage to get back to older routines. I very much enjoyed our earlier chats and need to get back out there again.

You're right, this is a pretty tight-knit group, but that doesn't mean that we try to exclude anyone. We'll always welcome anyone who wants to join in, and you'd be welcomed in a heartbeat. So, if ya got the time and the inclination, stick around and get to know the Krewe. :)

Thank You Lynn, I appreciate that very much. :)

I don't get to participate on the forum as much as I used to these days but I do try and pop in as time allows. Obviously you have a great group here!

You are most welcome ... I just couldn't NOT say anything despite my reluctance to intrude. I hope my poor grammar can be forgiven ( double negative ) but it seemed to me like the best way to phrase it. :)

Thank you very much Brother! Even with just the few posts that I've read to date I can tell you are a tight group yet still warm and welcoming to newcomers ... exactly the kind of folks I like!

Hey, I'm all about the double negatives when they're used correctly! Sometimes they get the point across much better than "proper grammar" ever could. I'm also not opposed to the use of the word "ain't". ;)

You pretty much hit that nail right on the head. It is a pretty tight group, but we try not to judge too much, and welcome anyone who doesn't come in here to start crap. You know me... I ain't one to start a fight, but I'll damn sure finish one!
