First let me apologize for barging in here. I realize this a family/group thread and normally I would not intrude into such but I saw Kaz on the New Posts list earlier and I wanted to see how things were going with him. We used to chat a bit in another thread awhile back so I was aware of his situation and I often wondered how his DB was doing.

Anyway, I guess my timing wasn’t so great given what I just read but I did want to tell you Kaz that your DB has more fans and cheerleaders than she even knows about as do you for that matter. I continue to think of you both and send positive vibes for your well being. The love and strength that you both have shown and continue to exhibit is truly an inspiration.

WELCOME!!!!!!! No apologies necessary. If'n you were fixin' to start trubbles, then we might have a probslem, but frenz of Kaez's are frenz of ours!

And what you state is so very well-said. Thank you :)

Now, if our BARTENDER would get back on the job, we'd ALL have cold, frosties in front of us ;) (I'm werking on dusting and fluffing the furniture..... :sneaky: )

Other than that, I'm pretty much drained... I've got very little else to hang on to that will let me keep a positive attitude for her sake.

It is what it is, my Brother. This is just another lump of coal in the forge that will eventually turn us into steel. We will be stronger for it in the end. And, as always, you remain in my thoughts and prayers as well. :)

My heart cries for you and DB, but your attitude and strength are inspirational. Please let us help you through this most difficult time, and times to come. I am glad you feel comfortable to let it out here.:wub::wub:

I barged in here with chicken photos, and they let me stay...somethin' tells me you're quite welcome here :thumb:

It's Chicken Man! He's everywhere, he's everywhere!! :lol::lol::lol:

@NGAHaze , I was invited by a good friend, @Bea-FL . Came here, saw lots of familiar faces (including my birthday buddies!), chimed in and will never regret it. I sure hope you stick around, sounds like you are the kind of people we like around here.

Just being here and being free and able to share her/our trials in a loving and caring atmosphere helps more than you know. Often times, it is exactly what I need in order to be able to go home to her with the strength to smile and help her carry her burden. :):wub::wub: Thank y'all for allowing me to do this.

LMAO! We love you in spite of your chicken pics, Brother... [emoji38]
I thought it was because of the photos :D

Sorry to hear about the latest results for DB, Kaz. Sometimes we just have to muddle through things. You were correct in picking up the positives -- potential improvement in healing and the opportunity to work on the cataracts (I loved cataract surgery, it made a big difference for me).

Hahahahaha!

Thank you, Brother. Yeah, muddling through just about sums it up at the moment... but yes, she already had cataract surgery on one eye, but that eye isn't very strong due to multiple laser burns in the retina from previous treatments for Diabetic Retinopathy. Her "good" eye now has pretty bad cataracts and so she is having a hard time seeing much of anything. This will give her the opportunity to correct that and should improve her quality of life. It is one definite positive that we can look forward to for the near future. :)

Thank you, hun! Glad to hear that y'all had such an awesome time with the Princess!

Well, we get to go see the pain doc tomorrow, so hopefully he'll have some magic pills that'll help with that. ;)

{{{{{{{{{{Bea}}}}}}}}}} I can't even imagine to understand the pain and hardship of that. Love and Light, Dear...

As for the news... well, I'll get to that in a sec.

Glad to see ya, Brother! Hope the doc gets the stitches out and that you're up and mobile very soon!

LMFAO!! Gotta love kittens... it's a good thing that they're so darn cute at that age, or they'd never make it to adulthood! [emoji38]

Okay, as for the results of the CT scan... not good news. The trial meds aren't doing their thing. The tumors have grown and they are taking her off of those meds. She will no longer be in that particular trial. But, the doctors in the trial center are having a meeting today to discuss cases and her doc will be bringing her case to their attention so that they can brainstorm and try to find another viable trial for her. She will have to be off of any treatment for about a month so that her system can clear all of the old meds out, and with any luck, they will find something else to try by that time. Needless to say, yesterday was a bit disheartening, and it doesn't help that we have no idea where things are going to go from here. We're in a "wait and see" mode hoping for a phone call to tell us that they've found another alternative. The only silver lining that I can find right now is that she'll be able to get her second cataract surgery done in the interim, and hopefully her bones will heal faster now that she is off chemo. Other than that, I'm pretty much drained... I've got very little else to hang on to that will let me keep a positive attitude for her sake.
Well horsepucky! I know it's getting harder to keep your heads up, Kaezz. Both of you need a month off to recoup from the last 3 months. Tell her we forbid her to puke, fall, or break herself anymore! She's grounded! Now both of you take a break & let it all roll off for a little while. Pet the kittehs, have a drink or 12, order pizza, & take turns picking movies on Netflix! Lighten the mental & emotional load & you'll have s different outlook when it's time to come back to it. Love you both!

I love your chicken pictures. And this is a beatiful rooster!
Even with just the few posts that I've read to date I can tell you are a tight group yet still warm and welcoming to newcomers ... exactly the kind of folks I like!
They let me stay when I barged in and I dont even drink coffee
I was aware of his situation and I often wondered how his DB was doing
I never confessed this before but I found my way over here because I too had read @Kaezziel's posts on another thread and was wondering how DB was doing.

I found a friendly, caring group of people and stayed

@Kaezziel my heart goes out to you on your news. I was hoping that all your love for DB and all the positive energy and best wishes would give you good CT scan results. This just sucks :(:(:(:(:(

Fingers crossed the docs have another trick up their sleeve.

Darlin' I'm sorry the news wasn't better, but your positive attitude will do a lot to help DB get through it all...you know you are both constantly in my thoughts and prayers, and will stay that way...sending lots of love and big ole (((HUGS))) your way!

Whee, power is out [emoji5]. They were saying high winds this evening, things were mellow until I got home, but probably had a tree drop on a line somewhere.

We'll wait an hour or so, then I'll crank up the generator if we don't have power by then.
