Daughter's graduation, so you were pretty close Here's a pic of my kid and her best friend that lived with us for the last 2 years so that he could graduate with her:

I had the only 2 "weirdos" there...all the other parents made their kids dye their hair back to "normal" colors so all you seen coming down the isle are brown, black, and blonde...then when my kiddos started their walk all you see is bright green and purple hair lol. Oh yeah...this pic isn't the greatest cause my brother took it on his iphone which is a piece of junk in the camera department....

As far as wedding....we are waiting for the male half of the duo in this pic to get the nerve up to propose to my oldest daughter:

Hi all!

Still getting a lot of rain off and on (the lake is crazy high for mid July).

After the morning clouds and rain things cleared, we got the first two concrete support columns for the deck extension in. We are doing the second series of holes ourselves, the youngsters have other stuff going on.

Anywho, tomorrow is picking up another 8 bags of concrete, a sonotube (10" diameter concrete form), and more gravel. Get the next pair of columns in, probably head out for materials for the third pair, to have on hand during the week.

With any luck I'll place the main wood order during the week, so I can start working the posts, beams, etc. next weekend.

No rest for the wicked [emoji5]

@DingerCPA Very nice vape, great flavor, terrible filling system. Lots of juice in various unicorn style bottles, the only ones I can actually use are the Gorilla bottles, the rest don't have a long enough tip to reach the fill port, which is in the center of the build deck. Needle tips would of course be another option.
Oh, and you have to like wide bore drip tips direct lung. No tootling with this tank.

Welcome back!! I've missed you!! Your girls are similar to my kids. Laura's hair has been blue, pink, purple and rainbow. She couldn't have colored hair where she used to work so since it's cool where she works now, she's gone wild. I never know what color will show up next. Same with tattoos. She's working on finishing up a sleeve on one arm. Colton's hair color right now is platinum blonde.

Good morning! I worked last night inside a cell for the first time since October. Even went all the way around all the operations and actually held my own. Guess I showed them that I'm not too old or too slow to keep up! HA! Take that!! Today will be spent getting some stuffz done. Have a good one all!

Thanks Bea! I'm thinking right now that termination may not be in the cards at the moment. Although that might be wishful thinking on my part. I has been told on Friday night that I would be going back to the cell I was in last night next week and that I would be on the inside rather than the outside. I'm hoping that my performance last night proved that I CAN do the work.

A couple of days ago, we noticed there's a foul odor in our walk-in closet. The wife thinks the drain to our sewer system is leaking. But I don't think it smells like sewage, and there's no smell anywhere other than the closet.
Getting everything out of the closet takes some doing. This is a big closet (8'x12'). There's a LOT of stuff in there, some of it is heavy, and the stench is hard to take.
Anyway, I found the problem last night... a dead mouse. Hard to believe something so little, could smell so big.
On the plus side, I've been wanting to reorganize the closet for a while.

I'm in the workshop getting ready to turn the last diagonal cut Zebra Wood blank. The fans are circulating the air so it isn't too bad. I will post pics from yesterday and today later on today. I hope everyone stays cool.

you right...a dead mouse smells awful.

When we lived up north we lived out in the middle of nowhere in an old farmhouse. Every now and then a mouse would die in the dirt basement and the smell carried in the house.
There was a black rat snake living in that basement but snakes don't eat dead mice.

Yep, that smell is horrendous! A couple of months ago, we had a dead squirrel in the attic at the office...OMG! That was the worst smell ever!!

Yesterday, I cut 4 Bocote Wood blanks from a block of Bocote and turned one pen. Today, I turned a pen using a diagonal cut blank of Zebra Wood. The Bocote Wood is on the left and Zebra Wood is on the right.
