Heh heh heh.... There has been "activity" with the "critter traps" that got set yesterday.... I'm hoping that they take that bait back to their little nest and opt not to return!

(I know that sounds callous, but *I'm* paying the mortgage, and I don't want them as squatters!!!!!!)

But now, I gotta be the one to "scoop 'em out" BLERGH

Had a LOVELY afternoon with SO's Mom 'n' Pop. Mom is still recovering from shoulder surgery, but she (for 80 years old) seems to be doing pretty well. We brought BDD with us (neighbors weren't home to look in on her) and it was a good thing - had a wicked little thunderstorm whilst on the farm (which plowed through the Fort on its way) Dog got her little "happy pill" and mostly behaved at G'ma/G'pas house. SO always gets so anxious - she feels like she always has to do some weird little dance around her Mom to keep all chaos from breaking loose. I'm like, "whatever". I am who I am, and her Mom and Dad can like me or not. They just see me "taking care" of their daughter. If that's how they need to accept, so be it.

Oh and regarding the traps...I came home from work last night to a dead mouse on the kitchen floor. Kitty strikes again!

I don't think they've invaded past this one cupboard. I would have expected a lot of activity under the sink where the trash is....

O.k. round two of jalapeno poppers today!!!!! Cream cheese this time, and a sprayed tray so they don't stick as much

Cleaned n restaged the entry way. Vacuumed a zillion pounds of cat and dog hair. Werkin some jalapeno poppers and some bacon on the grill. Listening to some "free" music.... some kidz next street over are having band practice.... they r passable {shrug}

Got a couple batches of Nic San Jose left, 2 of Bali Paradise, a few other odds and ends.

(I probably have about 15lb of beans on hand, every once in a while need to finish some bags off. Yeah, rough life, needing to finish off the nsj )

OK. Tore apart a rotisserie chicken from the grocery and roasted some pecans for a chicken salad. Emptied one barrel (Isley Malt Scotch) and fired up a batch of "Wild Game" Whiskey....

Oh boy am I worn out...after 3 days of family visiting, my parents actually left last night, but my granddaughter is still here, I'm over it and ready to get my house back...thank goodness little Angel goes home tomorrow...love her to pieces, but boy is she a handful, but then again what almost 2 year old isn't? Just finally got her to sleep...she's definitely a night owl like me...and lucky for me she usually sleeps to at least 9 or later, but all that chasing her around is wearing me out...no wonder having kids is for the young!

Good Morning Krewe!
I have to say there is something to be said for occasionally saying "screw it" and leaving your normal life behind for a few days, to just live. Had a most glorious weekend, all because I said "screw it, damn the consequences" a couple weeks ago and just went with the flow. Back to normalcy today, but completely recharged. I have to be spontaneous more often.
