This whole squonking thing has kinda taken over most of my vaping time lately.
It definitely tends to do that haha. When i got my first sqounker, that's all i used for probably 4-5 months, every few weeks,i would buy a new bottom feed mod,or another rda,and had no interest at all for all my regular mods and rta's that were just sitting collecting dust. Now,i am about 50/50,when at home i always have a regular mod and rta,and one of my sqounkers sitting within arms reach, but here recently, out of the house has been the Fuchai with a Griffin, until i get in that mood, then it'll be sqounker 24/7 again for a while haha.

Truth is if the bf RDA portion doesn't meet my needs, I'll likely PIF it. But the concept of being able to switch it around for different uses does intrigue me. And if the Nauty X setup isn't bad, then I could see buying a bunch of those coils, for times when I just want to pop something in, but primarily using it as a bf RDA. This whole squonking thing has kinda taken over most of my vaping time lately.

If you don't do MTL, you're not going to care for the Nauty-X. I won one a while back, and couldn't handle the tight draw. The wife liked it, so it's hers now. :)

I do both. I'm an oddball. My main MTL tanks are the Nauty Mini and one of my Merlins still has the air reducer in it. Most of my vaping is more open than that, but I use that Merlin daily, and the Nauty mini fairly regularly.

So I won the Aspire Quad Flex over at the other place, and it appears it has been delivered today. So tonight's agenda is to start playing with it. Which portion of it are people most interested in hearing about first?

Conga Rats, Brother!!!! I'm intrigued by the QF. Are there separate bases and caps for all the variations? I was wondering if it wasaybe one or two bases and all the different caps?

Different parts are shared depending on which setup. Clear as mud?

Early impression of the ft narda is I like it a lot. Nice machining, good top cap fit, negligible (if any) machine oil on it.

Compact format, fits nice on my tube mechs, no problem on the box mods.

A simple build. 26 awg twisted kanthal, 2.5mm ID:

The coil is mounted slightly higher than the air flow channels, offset a bit up from the center.

Rayon wick (whaddya expect :D ), only trimmed about 20% of the tails' thickness. The tails are long, deep well.

Tucked in, made sure there was nothing blocking the air flow channels.

    Excellent flavor!

I did get the annoying whistling that can happen when the inlets are aligned with the air channels in the posts. I just rotated the cap, so the inlets were aligned with the screws - no more whistle :)

Small, sturdy, great flavor. I typically play in the 0.4 - 0.5 ohm zone, no higher than 35w, more often around 30. An excellent rda for that power regime (or lower).

Tsunami will be looking for a new home - narda fits me, tsunami needs a multi coil, higher power, owner.

First impressions of the Quad Flex...:-x:censored::mad::censored::-x

OK, shoulda been a no brainer to use the RDTA, since, lo and behold, that's what's already assembled in the box! Nope. Atty Error, Check Atty, etc, no matter what I put it on. Careful inspection shows no reason for a problem. Unscrew the deck, screw it into the RDA base, every mod reads it just fine. Screw it back into the RDTA base, no luck. In a moment of insight I remove the glass from the RDTA section and screw the deck into it. Guess what??? Now it's fine. The glass is too tall to allow it to screw all the way into the base properly apparently.

I give up for tonight. Since the 510 pin on the deck unscrews to allow it be swapped with the bf pin, I'll try slightly unscrewing it without removing it to see if I can get the RDTA base to work. But I'm done playing for tonight.

That's Vanilla Tobacco, my all day vape. Glad you like it!

I use about 10% Natures Flavors Vanilla, plus 4 -5% Heartland Vapes tobacco blend (I used to use TPA/TFA tobacco blend, but they stopped making it -- it's just tobacco absolute + ethyl maltol, in a PG or alcohol carrier).

I have a boatload of the vanilla - that's the stuff I bought a full quart of (I use about a pint of it in a year). I'll send some.

This is tobacco blend: Tobacco Blend (PG) (HV)

I actually bought the 4oz of TB: Tobacco Blend (PG) (HV) Nice thing about an all day vape -- I buy flavors in bulk :)

I picked up a 4oz of black honey tobacco too -- around 1 -- 2% adds an interesting note, though I went back to plain vanilla + tobacco blend.
Thanks a bunch!! It will be awhile before I order the tobacco blend though so I bookmarked it.
