The hellish ness is over now. I'm home from work! Lolliking because it's nice to see ya, not because it's hellish
We had snow overnight. Not a lot but enough to make bad roads at 4:15 this morning. Everyone thought they'd shut the plant down or at least start it up on a delay. Well...they didn't. Normally it takes me 35-40 minutes to drive to work, this morning it took over an hour. Then, 3/4 of the plant didn't show up so they shut the plant down at 10. For everyone but us. Our manager decided that we could stay until 2:30 to get receiving done. He finally let us go at 1:00.

I'm pretty sure it's classified as percussion (hammers strike strings to emit sound?)

I have new wiper blades on the front and back of my car! Is it weird that now I want to go out and drive it around in the rain so I can see them work?

Nice to see another Mississippi native here, Sheeta! I grew up down around Monticello until I was around 16... still miss that slow country life. Someday I'll get back to it, but for now I gotta stick close to the cities in order to pay the bills. Adulting is hard... and it sucks, but we do what we must, right?
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Mine was alright... made fried chicken, cheddar bacon grits from scratch, and collard greens with fat-back for Valentine's dinner for my Darlin'. (And, I'll keep my damn man card... thank ya very much!) I've actually done a lot of cooking over the past year or so, and am kinda learning to like doing it. Still not proficient enough to do any decent baking, but that's because I can never force myself to actually stick to a recipe... gotta go and put my own twist on everything. Guess I'll have to follow directions until I pick up a better understanding of the science that is baking...

I was planning on taking the day off, but had to come in because the only other guy in the shop had to take the day off to take care of some pressing personal matters... ~sigh~ He's a good guy though, so I really don't mind covering for him... lord knows he's covered for me plenty of times!

Thank ya, Sweetheart! It should turn out pretty good. My Beautiful Bride has been pretty excited for the last several days because she says she got me a super awesome B-day present... I just gotta wait another 7-8 hours until I get home from work to find out what it is... but who's counting?
