Missouri...or the state of Misery.
THERE'S the difference! I keep my airflow about the same as you, but I typically run between 30-35 watts. You may want to bump that up a little to reduce the gurgling/flooding... the problem is that it's wicking more/faster than you're vaporizing it at your current heat levels. I ran into the same thing with rayon wicks in my Silver Play and Orchid tanks. Rayon wicks faster than cotton does, so a lot of times you need more power to compensate and keep everything balanced. If 30W is too hot for you, then you might look into picking up one of the drip tips that has airflow adjustment/holes in the drip tip. That allows cooler air to enter the tip as you vape and cools it down before it gets to you... or you can cheat and do what we used to do back in the day. Just open the corner of your mouth a bit and bring in a little more air that way...

I'll give that a try...It always seems anything over 22w is too hot to me, but I recently got a drip tip that has the airflow holes (Thanks LLB--hopefully tonight I'll be able to post the pic that I've been meaning to for a week now!!)

Man, I have not touched my face with a real blade in 30 years. Went electric, and never looked back. That wicked looking straight razor was giving me quite a bit of trepidation..

At first I was afraid,I was petrified. Kept thinking I would never live without electra-glide...

NOT a nick, scratch, cut or burn. I CAN DO EEEEET!!! I'm feelin a lil smug, bout my silky mug.. First half dozen strokes.. whoa... and then.. just kicked in. My Cro-Magnun man just took over, and voila..

Nice Bruddah! I switched to the double-edge safety razors a little while back, got the whole brush, G.F. Trumpers shave cream, a shave bowl... the whole nine yards. Love the way it feels lathering up and the smooth shave afterwards. And the barber shop I go to still does straight razor shaves, so I do that when I go in for a trim. I plan to get a straight edge soon, but haven't collected the testicular fortitude to make that attempt yet. Soon though... still need to find a razor that I like.

This is what I've been using lately. Mostly the razor on the right because it's adjustable. Inherited them from my Father-in-law when he passed away last year. The bowl and brush I bought... the handle and bowl are made from buffalo horn, and the brush is best badger. LOVE that thing!

Yes! That was what I was after.. Had some straight shaves after lux haircuts, and it felt, and smelled, so wonderful. The whole process was really a thrill... the stropping has this.. soft rythmic sound, Silvertip badger brush with hot lather?!? Zomg... and the sound of the razor even, transmits right through the jawbone. Lil balm after the shave then a quick pat with some aftershave.. WAY different than just running an electric around awhile and done. It was everything I hoped it would be, and then a lil...

SWEEET! Funny how the creams and stuff, come in SUCH retro looking packaging. Definitely feels like a step WAY back in time. I'm sure my Great Grandpa is up there, lookin down on me and thinking.. DaF?!?! What is WRONG wif that boy!? 200 years of progress, and THIS? Next thing, be putting a BONE in his nose..

Sorry Gramps, I'm not doing Emo till I'm 60...

Yep, kinda get the same sound in the razor with the DE... not quite as intense, but it's there. That Trumper's shave cream is AWESOME! Soak the brush, put a little cream in the bowl and float it in the hot sink water, then whip it up... it's a subtle sandalwood scent. Then follow it up with Clubman aftershave or a good Bay Rum... definitely feel like a new man when you step away from the sink!
