G'morninz!

Hope y'all have a great day! Got some fun in store for today {not} Just hoping the encroaching storms don't get here until I make it home. BDD had me up at 2:00 this morning with one round of thunder-boomers.
How's the ear?

Good luck Kaez! Hope they finally appreciate you for all you know and do. Everything crossed.

And I agree with Bea - how I'd BDDs ear doing? Stay safe with the storm!

Thank you, Cathy! For now, I just keep telling myself "at least I still have a job". :)

How's the ear?

Had her back at the Vet yesterday - they flushed her inner ear again - they said that the skin is starting to re-attach to the cartilage, so THAT's awesome. However, she still has some infection IN her ear :( and she's on another round of medication (yippee). It was a rugged evening after getting her home. She actually poo'd in the parking lot on the way to the car  Good thing I'd asked for a bag to carry all her meds.... Did some pooper-scooping in front of the pet store :D

Vet wants me to bring her back every couple days so they can continue to clean her ear (need 2-3 people to hold her down and flush the ear - I can't do that by mahse'f)

Get her home and take her out back. She "turtles" all around the back yard and "visits" a number of spots to try to feel better. Bring her in, and she's GUZZLING water. Asks to go back out and proceeds to puke in about 4 places in the yard. Didn't want to eat and didn't want to take any of her meds last night, either.

Managed to get a little bit of medication in her this a.m. Desperately praying I can get home before any kind of storms.....

Poor little girl. Those ear infections are tough to cure especially with floppy eared dogs. We call them "cocker ear infections" at the clinic.

BTW did the vet or tech mention that dogs' ear canals are L-shaped? So when we look in their ears we see the vertical part and if there is infection in the horizontal part we cannot see it, so it keeps getting worse, spreads to where we see it and by then it's a battle to get rid of.

Many of our clients did a weekly cleaning in the ears as preventative. But thats after the vet had to do what yours is doing. BDD's ears are so sore right now, no wonder it takes several people to clean them.

The vet will probably tell you how to do the preventative cleaning after the ears are healed and you can buy the cleaner and long Q-tips from them but you can also buy all this stuff on line cheaper. If you need names of online stores let me know.

Good morning all!

Best wishes for BDD, Dinger. It's no fun when the fur babies have an ouchie.

Hoping you wow the VP, Kaz, but you're absolutely right - keeping a solid job is what matters.

Off Friday, looking at getting stuff done. Unfortunately life is what happens while you're making plans [emoji5]

DW had gone to some stores over the last couple days of bootiful weather, wound up with a headache and congestion (simple cold, but no fun).

Started my morning with dishes and the pooches.

Dinga sent tstorms our way, came in right around 7. 3 soggy, muddy mutts, and #4 did a whiz inside rather than go out.

Carpet cleaning and cleaning dog bed covers.

We're up to about 0.4" rain today (good), but all 4 dogs were out during a bunch of it (while I was cleaning inside). I built a nice overhang at the entrance, but they still run around and play in the rain (& mud).

DW is starting to feel alive, the pooches are all back in the mudroom, more or less dry, load of grungy stuff soaking in the wash.

Big plus, I made some awesome French press kawvee [emoji3]

I figure by about 1pm I'll start on the list of things I wanted to work at 8.

Is it Monday yet? [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]

YES, after the 2nd or THIRD time I was in, trying to get the blood drained from her ear (same vet was seeing her, mind you). He kept telling me that "her ears look clean". THEN he decided to swab the ear and THAT's when he found all the carp in it. :grr:  :sneaky: Dumerezel

Now, I try to make sure BDD sees the OTHER vet at that practice. He's the one who did her surgery anyway. She at least seemed better this morning. Still didn't want to eat and I had to be a bit more "forceful" with her meds (she had to lick the peanut butter off my finger, rather than the spoon....)

Unfortunately all vets are not created equal :(. I wouldnt let one of the vets in our clinic do anything other than give vaccines to my pets.

Do they have an otoscope at your vet's? It's this probe with a camera at the tip that they can look pretty far in in the ears. It's really interesting to see how they look in there. Sometimes it's pretty gross too.

They're both nice guys - I just think the older doctor is a bit more experienced (the other one looks pretty young.....) If they do, it's in the back, and only the patients go to the inner sanctum. And, no thank you, not interested

That might be her ear draining into her throat.

This is the first she's horked. I'm thinking she was just really upset with being at the vet ALL DAY yesterday. Since I'm going to have to get her there every couple of days, I'll either ask the neighbor to take her or it will just have to wait until I get home from work.... I'd rather not leave her like that again, if I don't have to....

All day? Yeah, she was way stressed. Poor baby!

I got home last night from 5 days with Mack T. Corgi. He's pretty much acting like a grownup now & gets sweeter & more snuggly every time I see him. I took him some balls just smaller than a soccor ball. He herded them into the dining nook & walked away. Every once in awhile he'd go herd them out, chase them around & then take them back to the corner. His Mom texted me this morning that he went to the closed door of the spare room & sat there & barked until she opened the door for him. He ran in & jumped on the bed, sniffed around, & looked at her. He was looking for me!

I decided to give TC anudda whirl...

27awg 316L, 3mm ID, came in at my target 0.58 ohms.

Set my sdna dna75 to TC 316l, 405f. Ack, gack, hack - toasty then temp limit. Rechecked and see it had a default 55w max set also, too much power for that coil.

Found how to adjust the underlying Max watts, knocked it down to 26 (upper end of what I'd vape that coil at), gave it another whirl.

Keeps going and reaching the temp protected display, then power cuts out. I tried varying the temp and the underlying Max power, nothing great occurred.

Back in power mode, the coil vapes beautifully set where I'd normally run it, between 24 and 25 watts. Excellent flavor, no cutout, I see the resistance increase as expected but the DNA monitors and adjusts voltage to keep it at the set power level.

Think I'll stay a VW kinda guy [emoji5]. The 3mm ss316l vapes great in the OBS nano, not worth futzing with TC when VW works so well for me.

(The dna75 is stellar in Watts mode. It's not worth the bother to figger out TC mode for me.)

Yeah, I am still experimenting with TC - I kinda like that it *does* cut out and keeps it from getting too hot for me. But, it's a different experience - most of the time I expect the heavier hit from VW, so there's a tiny bit of disappointment in TC mode....

Hai Lady @LynnNC!

I'm pretty stoked m'se'f.... The Efun order I placed is already in the States (I bucked up for DHL shipping) and should arrive by Monday. The FT Alien is slated for delivery (to my office  ) probably tomorrow. So, two VapeMails on MONDAY (almost makes it worth going back to work!)
