When your dog starts bugging you to take him out earlier than normal (yes he actually knows when it's time most of the time) you might want to consider that he may be smarter than you. I was in the middle of something so I made him wait a few minutes. Next thing I know a major storm started. If I'd listened to him I wouldn't have gotten soaked...

Dinger, this is backwards, you got the storm before I did. And now it sounds like hail.

    Guess it is hail...

    From the warning:
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
    to roofs, siding, and trees.
These thunderstorms have a history of producing quarter sized hail
and wind gusts to 60 mph.

Yikes! I hear it blowing, but BDD is snoozing quietly upstairs with me.

Looks like you got the nasty band. The worst looks like it's going to be north and south of us. Still under t-storm watch/warning.

    Be safe, Brother....

Be safe everyone with nasty weather.

Here in North Central Florida winter seems to have passed us by. Turned on the air conditioning today. This is Not meant as a brag, I like the cool, less humid Temps we are supposed to get. Heck, we have had light snow in the past. This heat sucks cuz summer is gonna be a female dog.

Wishing everyone with nasty weather to be safe and sound.

Sippin' on some o' Mark's coffee, having a morning vape :)

Even up here in the farthest northern part of NYS, where we should have 4+ feet of snow right now, we have virtually none as it has been in the 40s, 50s and 60s for over a week now. It is 60 today. I bought skis a week ago and haven't been able to use them yet. I guess Spring has come, 1 1/2 months early this year... :(

I do look forward to biking weather, but not at the expense of being able to ski in February and March :( :(

In terms of storms, we don't usually get big storms here. The mountains shield us from things like tornados, etc. But Lake Placid had the worst storm it's had since the 1990s a few days ago. It shot up to 60, rained hard with high winds, then dropped very rapidly to the 20s and was snowing. The winds knocked over some trees, then the wet branches froze and snow caked to them causing more to tumble. Placid was without power for 19 hours. Even Irene didn't hit the area that hard.

I'm northwest of there, and we didn't have any damage or power outages. But it was still a sight to see. Everything was caked with ice and crusty snow the following morning.

The temperature instabilities up here are making for a very interesting and un-skiable season...though for Jan and most of Feb, the skiing was awesome

we'lre over 60, but not supposed to get much warmer before the rain starts. Looking like a few boomers will roll through, and guaranteed soggy doggies (or is that muddy mutts?) [emoji3]
We've got a Boomer! And our Boomer is both a soggy doggie and a muddy mutt!!

Apparently the storms were worse than I realized, woke up this morning and saw that we were under a tornado warning for awhile last night. Never heard the sirens go off, but that's what was posted on Facebook. Yikes!

BDD was panting and drooling on and beside my bed around 2:30 this a.m. still had TV on so flipped to local channel to follow the "action". BOOM! Everything goes dark. Power still out. Need a beer, but don't want to open the fridge

    Doh! No power stinks.

Weirdest thing happened, I was just getting ready to shut down my computer last night as the storms were getting bad. Power went out before I could. Was only out a minute for us though. This morning I turn the computer on, everything works but the keyboard, so I can't type my password in. I'm thinking maybe somehow the USB port it's plugged into got fried, so I swap it with the mouse, nope, keyboard still doesn't work, but mouse still works. So it's not the USB port, it must be the keyboard itself. Never heard of a keyboard getting fried like that. By the way it has backlit keys and it still lights up. Just won't type.
