@Bea-FL and @clnire and of course anyone else........ here are a few decent puppy pics. LIS, my amateur guess is boston/weiner dog. What do y'all think? These should be clickable thumbnails, so you can see em better.

too funny. Hope we have better luck with Ozzy. Frankie stands at the door. If he's just looking, he'll wander off. If he has to potty, he'll turn around and look at us. If we're too slow or he has to go really bad, he'll paw at the door
That is a really cute puppy Deb!! I want one!! :)

@Deb that pup to me looks weiner and ??? I dont see Boston. Depending on its size the long snout almost looks chihuahua to me.

About the neuter/spay from your previous post. Aside from breeders who need to control their breed lines, and aside from shelters trying to control overpopulation, the reason to spay/neuter is health related.

The longer a male stays intact the higher the chance of prostrate cancer. And the more heat cycles females go through the higher the chance of mammary or mast cell tumors (cancer). I dont know the stats but that's what the vets at work said.

Most of our patients were neutered at a young age but we saw both of those conditions in the few intact older patients we had. It was sad because it was avoidable.

I actually started with a cigalike back in 2010, but I just couldn't get the satisfaction and it was oh, so much easier to grab a pack of smokes and a lighter. I lost my Uncle in 2013 to lung cancer and by the first of the year (2014) I was intent on doing something to make this work. By February, I had some updated equipment (well, an update to a cigalike!) and by March, I was tired of spending money on both smokes and vape things.
My first try was a cigalike too, although it happened by chance.I wanted to quit, but never even thought to try vaping. We were buying the bags of ryo tobacco, and the brand i bought started making cigalikes,so they put a free sample one in the bag.I tried it,and it was not satisfying at all,but it did spark the idea in my head to try vaping,so i ordered an ego twist/ce5 combo off ebay, and when it arrived i went to a local vape shop and bought some over priced horrible tasting juice, but it worked haha.I got lucky and didn't use both,i was determined to make the switch,so the only cigarette i had was the first morning after my switch,i was ok after that initial hump, then i had the one a week or so later when the ego broke. That one was so nasty that i rushed home and tore the ego apart to resolder the wire that snapped off when it popped in my pocket.
My first few months i still got bad cravings, but fought through them, because like you,i lost my grandma to cancer, although i don't know if hers was related to smoking or not,she had bone cancer, but it was enough to scare the crap out of me and make me realize i just had to quit smoking.

I wondered about chi, but didn't wanna admit it. Aside from LB's chis, I'm not a real fan of them. And there is a good chance that Frankie is part deer head chi. I'm surrounded by em. doing a search for boston weiner mix, these two look like his face, so I was hoping

Oh, Deb he may not even have Chi in him. Really hard to tell. That's just my impression from the photos. @LittleBird would be a good person to ask.

These two look Boston. Bostons have such a snub nose where Ozzie seems to have that longer Chi nose from the pics. I love that face on the right.

Chis are not bad. They're just so little that they have to show the world that they're tough. If you socialize them well they can be great dogs!

Not that it will happen in your case but in the vet world daschunds and chihuahuas have the reputation of being difficult to potty train. Several of our clients trained them with the leash method. You leash the dog and tie the leash to your waist so it cant leave your side and you can watch for potty time behavior and catch it before it happens.

I'm not sure this a win in potty training. I told lil bit......let's go potty, and he said.... Ok! and piddled before I could get him outside!

I teach my dogs to potty on command. With travel it can be a lifesaver. For initial training we just go out and I watch closely. When it looks like the are going to go I say "go potty" (exact words don't matter) and then good potty when done. I don't say anything until we get outside. Takes time and consistency, but eventually they catch on.

I am thinking Chi too. A Boston would have a shorter nose. Won't really be able to tell much more until he gets older. And there could be more than 2 breeds involved, too. Mixes of mixes are hard to tell.

Well horsepucky! I know it's getting harder to keep your heads up, Kaezz. Both of you need a month off to recoup from the last 3 months. Tell her we forbid her to puke, fall, or break herself anymore! She's grounded! Now both of you take a break & let it all roll off for a little while. Pet the kittehs, have a drink or 12, order pizza, & take turns picking movies on Netflix! Lighten the mental & emotional load & you'll have s different outlook when it's time to come back to it. Love you both!

Hahahaha! I like it! I did make her a pretty decent margarita the other night. Patron, Cointreau, and Grand Marnier... must not have been too bad, she asked for a second one! Love you too, hun. Hope you're hanging in there, yourself!

@Kaezziel my heart goes out to you on your news. I was hoping that all your love for DB and all the positive energy and best wishes would give you good CT scan results. This just sucks :(:(:(:(:(

Fingers crossed the docs have another trick up their sleeve.

Thank you, Bea. It was pretty sucky news, but we're coping with it. The hospital she goes to runs hundreds of trials at any given point in time, so there's a decent chance that they will have another one that she'll fit into. At the moment, she's trying to decide how much more of this she's willing to put herself through. She isn't ready to give in yet, but she is weighing the options on whether or not to even continue treatments. Whatever she decides, I'll support her decision.

Darlin' I'm sorry the news wasn't better, but your positive attitude will do a lot to help DB get through it all...you know you are both constantly in my thoughts and prayers, and will stay that way...sending lots of love and big ole (((HUGS))) your way!

Thank you, SweetHeart. We will get through this, too. She's been through so much in the past three and a half years, with each step more trying than the last. She still amazes me with her strength... Love and {{{{{HUGS}}}}} right back at ya!

I hate reading this. I've had a strong feeling, for quite a while now, that things are going to end up positive for y'all... I haven't lost it, but damnit what a long road you guys are being forced to travel.

Love ya Brother! {{{{MAN HUG}}}}

I hated typing it... I do know this, though, whatever happens, she has given it all that she can. This woman has endured things that would have had me crushed a long time ago. If anyone stands a chance of pulling through this, it's her.

Love you too, Brother! {{{{{MAN HUGS}}}}}

I'll see you tonight. ;)

You're pushing it on the timing... that l'il bottle is almost gone, but I've still got some Maker's 46 left! ;)

Happiness has returned once again to my household. Last Wednesday night my son dropped his PV on the porch and broke the glass on my Melo3 full size tank so he decided to grab on of my Serpent Mini's to use. :glare: I promptly gave him my Melo3 mini to use and told him the Serpents are off limits. I ordered a replacement glass from Sweet Vapes and it came today. So he now has his tank back and I have my tank back. All is right in my world. :thumb:

LOL! No sharing the Serpents, huh? That reminds me, I still need to order new glass for the Mage... I'm seriously missing that tank. But the Stumpy on the squonker is doing a perfect job of keeping me in my "Happy Vape" zone. Especially with this new juice I mixed up last weekend. It's kind of an Apple Fritter kinda flavor, and I'm really diggin' it! :D

@Kaezziel you are always and forever in my thoughts and prayers brother.

As you are always in mine, Brother! How's the hoof? How'd your last doc appointment go? Inquiring minds wanna know!

I just bought this cute little mod because it takes a 18350 bat but it was only available in blue. Not a bad color but not my favorite. I would love to turn it red!

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can beautify it? Would spray paint work?

View attachment 640095

That is a cute l'il guy! Maybe they have skins available for it? Otherwise, if I were to paint it, I'd probably tear it apart and just paint the shell, then put it all back together. That's really the only way to ensure that ya don't get paint where it shouldn't be. ;) Or buy some vinyl and make your own skin for it...

It's kinda cool. It seems like there are three "blocks" across ECF. The true Noobs - less than a year vaping; a contingent in the 3-4 year range, and the the old-timers like @Kaezziel who seem to have been around forever! ;)

I actually started with a cigalike back in 2010, but I just couldn't get the satisfaction and it was oh, so much easier to grab a pack of smokes and a lighter. It's been a snowball from there on. I feel pretty self-sufficient now. And, there's really nothing that I "have to have", so I'm not even buying myself a vaperversary present. I'll just work with what I have and call it another (smoke-free) day.

:p You callin' me old? :grr::lol:

You are an amazing man!
+1000 on this!!
^^^ Agree!

 Y'all are too kind. I lose track of how many times I screw up in a single day... I don't have enough fingers. ;)

SweetPea, it doesn't matter how many times you screw up. What matters is all the times you don't and I'm sure that's MANY plus the fact that you're still there doing both!
