Same here,i went in for the 500 ft. box and walked out with that same box that will last me and my son the rest of our lives haha.3 pounds doesn't sound like much until you consider just how light rayon is.

I'm apartment living now, so everything has to be stashed to take up minimal space. Sorta like living on a sailboat. And the apartment I'm in is still considered big for NY. I miss my shed.

Where I live in NY, might as well have an igloo, and "bad traffic" means waiting on 3 cars to pass before turning left.
Yeah, the concrete portion on the West Side. Great view, but because I'm right on the Hudson river, the wind off the water with nothing to impede it makes for gale force winds every time I step out.

We've had our annual bird-down-the-stove-pipe [emoji5]. In the 19 springs I've had our main house, 18 years we've had a bird go into the pipe. One year it happened twice, making up for the off year [emoji3]
It takes a while before we can get the bird down into the main stove chamber. After that we can occasionally gently grab them by hand, but more often chase the fearful flyer around the great room until we can catch it in a mesh laundry bag.
Birdie was finally caught, and after a few minutes on the porch shaking it's head and wondering WTF happened, flew off none the worse for the adventure.

DW is from the City, grew up in Chinatown. I've lived in smaller towns all my life, and DW has come to appreciate more space.
Our home is a 3br log cabin on about an acre, with a field on one side and woods on another. Just DW, me, and the four pooches.

I live at a resort (which I manage), 15 minutes from the closest town, on a (frozen) lake in the middle of the woods.

Fireplace would be simpler. With the stove they land on a little ledge just below the pipe. Tonight's guest took a long time to get to drop past the damper.
The easiest way to get those birds outside is to draw the drapes so the room becomes dark and open a window. The bird will be drawn to the daylight and fly out.
