@Rayonati Sloth that hike at the lake sounds magical and peaceful. Just the kind of hike I love when I'm out birding…but in warm weather. Reminds me of Summit Lake on Mt. Evans, CO. The highest lake in the US, above the timberline.

It is one of my treasured places.

I did too…for 20 years…in the middle of 48 acres 45 minutes away from the nearest human. It was heaven. But age-related health issues caused us to have to move closer to a medical facility, especially since we have no family to assist us. It sucks

We are 15 minutes from the nearest medical facility, but, in general, live in a sparsely populated area with the strictest environmental laws in the country (stricter than national parks). It is quiet, and heavenly.
