I did get the display stand put together and just had to bring it in to see how it looked with the pens. Lordy, I didn't realize just how many I had sitting around. Now to figure out what to do with them.
I could help with that. Especially the 3 on the right. Beautiful!

Nice stand, and nice looking pens. The 3 on the far right, what are they made of?
Thank you. The 3 on the far right are Purpleheart, Padauk, and Ebony.

Awesome news Lynn!

There are actually 3 of them that are the spalted tamarind, The first, third, and seventh. I really should have grouped them a bit better but I was in a hurry to get the pic posted. It is a bit hard to see but on the 7th ink pen, I did an inlay with brass shavings because of a tear-out during turning.
I still have some of the Olive wood from Bethlehem but those are turned when I know who they are going to be getting them.

Those are GORGEOUS!!!!!!! Do you make them for left-handers ;)

A few years back, I received the "requisite" monogrammed pen/pencil for various work anniversaries. However, they monogram them for RIGHT-HANDED people, and I happen to write left-handed. So, my initials are upside down  They're not very well-weighted/balanced writing instruments, so I don't use them anyway. They are "pretty" though....

Morning all! I got some things to do today for my daughter before she moves back in. Not real sure I'm ready for it but I will not let the grandson live in her car. The good news is because she and I work different shifts, we'll rarely be in the house at the same time. The bad news is that even though we're under the same roof, I'll never get to see my grandson. :( Laura has been informed of the new rules she has to follow this time.

Pay close attention to point #7, it does make a difference.

Just in case you are having a rough day (week, year, and life), here is a stress management technique recommended in all the latest psychological journals. The funny thing is that it really does work.

0

1. Picture yourself lying on your tummy on a warm rock that hangs out over a crystal clear stream.

2. Picture yourself with both your hands dangling in the cool running water.

3. Birds are sweetly singing in the cool mountain air.

4. No one knows your secret place.

5. You are in total seclusion from that hectic place called the world.

6. The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity.

7. The water is so crystal clear that you can easily make out the face of the person you are holding underwater.

There!! See? It really does work.

You're smiling already.
Both DH and I are smiling. I'm sending this to my friends who are still working for the same idiot I worked for before retiring!

Such wonderful news! I'm soooo happy for you!!!!
