I hate winter, bring back summer!
I'm with you! we've had a lot of back and forth......heat then a/c some nice times with just the windows open. I do wish my son would fix the screen door on the sliding doors though.

Well, I've been recovering from 10 days with the little pups. We had storms blow thru 3 times. I discovered that the little girl pup is terrified of storms. TERRIFIED! I learned this at 3am. There was no comforting her. I was afraid she would have a heart attack. The other 2 storms were during the day but she reacted just as badly. I felt horrible that there was nothing I could do to help her other than just sit & hold her when she came to me. She almost could not stop paceing, trying to get away from it. Wore me out. I go tomorrow to spend two days with the Pitties, & Golden. The Dr appts start next week. Ugh.

Poor baby to be so scared. I know that was awful for you to not be able to help her. Ozzy is scared of noises and a lot of things, but luckily not storms, just really starts at a big thunder crack. He'll take off like a bullet from an unexpected noise, but he recovers quickly. He is getting better though as he gets older. Also getting a lil more socialized around people.

Among other hats I've worn..I used to train dogs, mostly attack.
So I've owned a lot of big mean dogs most of which were terrified of thunder.
My last big dog, a Rottweiler I named G.I. Joe wasn't afraid of anything.
He was a bad dude pacifist..would stand between
my old lady and me and growl until we chilled whenever we argued.

One evening we got a sudden thunderstorm and my old lady's Chihuahua wouldn't let Joe
into either of the dog houses outside so Joe came and laid down by the back door as close to his master as he could be..right next to a bent ham antenna I'd taken off the tower and had leaning on the fascia...

In the morning I couldn't budge the back door open..walked around to find my buddy Joe dead
he had been hit by lightning...He should have been afraid.

G.I. Joe RIP

As Karma would have it months later I made a pit stop here and left the gate open.
Old lady had been napping, woke up and let her Chihuahua out to pee not noticing the gate was open.
I heard a squeal and thought "I hope 'Gita didn't let the dog out"...She had
and a truck doing construction on the expressway had flattened her..
she shouldn't have gone out the driveway to smell my truck tires.

This is my dog now. A Bichon Frise named Jyoti, isn't afraid of anything
only goes outside with supervision View attachment 696735
cute bichon! So sorry bout the other two. It's so hard to lose our pets.

Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood Morninz!!!!!

Whew - what a "do nothing" weekend. I think I slept all but about 6 hours on Saturday. I actually feel a bit better....

Sunday morning, though, I pulled an "SO". I was bringing up clothes from the basement, and I misjudged the last couple of steps. Slammed my shin into the landing to the kitchen (which is tile flooring) Fortunately, under control fairly quickly, but the "delightful" experience of seeing blood running down my leg and foot {barf} wasn't quite how I wanted to start my morning :pervy:

SO is fighting a cold - she's cranky  Got nuttin' to help her feel better....

Wishing you all a PLRS day!
really glad you got so much rest. Yucko on the injury though. Hope SO feels better soon

@Kenna SS316 fluctuation under heat is what he means by unstable. As wire heats up, it's resistance changes. You don't notice it as much with Kanthal, because of it already being higher resistance than other wires. You also don't notice it with Titanium or Nickel because you don't run those in wattage mode. You also usually lock your ohms with those wires as well. Because as nickel heats up, it's resistance changes as well. A lot. Meaning 20 watts one second might be something totally different the next. Same applies to Titanium. As it heats up, it's resistance changes. Just not as much.

It's not as bad with thinner wire. 24 - 20g 316 is hideous though.
Ok. I use 28g SS316L at about 11 - 13 watts & have noticed a small change when I install the new coil it only lasts a second or 2 is a minuscule amount. Like it might jump from .09 to 1.1. And it might not even do it as the coil breaks in. My Hexes don't have a screen to show resistance or anything, so I swap atty's to the mod that I use to build my coils on that shows all that to check it periodically. I just checked both of the K5's I'm using right now, & one doesn't change at all, & the other jumps between 1.1 & 1.3.

Lol! Not so much at 11.3w & 60% vg. It's the flavor spot. Higher & I start to lose flavor. I do get a little cloud. I think when I recoil I'll go lower to see how I like it. I've just always been happy with the flavor at around 1.0 +/- a tad. I've come a long way since I started with 1.8 in a Nautilus 3 years ago! The BP Peeps held my hand in the Hangout through my first try at a coil 6 months after I started vaping. I wrapped it on a 16g blunt needle. It turned out great! Go me!

.09? I prolly meant .9. (headsmack)

Dude. I've got 500 ft of 28g SS, & another 200 ft of 28g & 30g kanthal . No more wire, please. I am dyscalculic, I can only go so far with numbers & calculations & retaining any of what I do comprehend. One step further & it all dissolves as if it just fades into blah blah. It goes like this:

You know you like it. My brains work similar to yours. However... My mind is clouded with things like this:

"Ok I'm going to build this coil..."

*static as from a radio transmission* "OPEN FIRE!!!! INCOMING!!!!" *static fades*

"Hm, that was weird..."

*More static* "You are a Marine, not a human, a weapon, you will kill on our command!' *static fades again*

"Who said that?! What was I doing again? Dammit!"

So yes, I Know the feeling very well. After a bit, I throw on my music and drown out that radio thing. But still.. I swear, they installed a chip somewhere on me that acts as a kill switch.

Never heard of that term before, but that image accurately explains what happens in my brain, when I try to do math in my head...
Dad could do complex equations in his head. It always astounded me...

There is no mathing in my head. Well...maybe enough to equate to 3 scoops of ice cream. If I do one thing the same way several times I can usually retain that one thing. 28g, on 2.5 id, 9 wraps = +/- 1.ohm. want lower? - 1 wrap. Want higher? + 1 wrap. What will I get? No clue till I mount it, & check. I got the 28g, 2.5 id,9 wraps thing, tho. What? Try 3mm? Stop helping meeeeee!

That sound about right. But usually followed by sounds of a 50 caliber machine gun, a few SAWs (squad automatic weapons), and a whole lot of rifle fire. Man... I really do miss those days some times. The excitement and the adrenaline rush is what I really miss. Phew, just thinking about all those days ... Got my heart racing like a lab rat.

I can relate, only with belts, hairbrushes, & fists. I am so thankful for my sense of humor. It puts rollerskates on giant spiders. Beyond that, I have a pill. Or 2.

I had a pill... Or 8... Or was it 11? Who knows at one time I was so doped up, all I can remember is eating a blanket and drooling on my homework. That sucks. That really sucks.

My Aegis arrived this morning. I requested the black, got the yellow instead. But I kinda dig it paired with my yellow glass Mage. :)
HG doesn't waste much time getting their contest prizes shipped.
Just updated to latest firmware, will be testing the TC later.
