Hey Boston,

I hear the funny taste at first thing a lot about organic cotton. I use the sterile cotton balls from the first aid section of the drugstore and have no issues with the taste. I've tried a few different types of wick, and this is the one I like the best.

Just curious which drug store do you get them from?

I work in NH and stay at my gf's in Maine and all they have up here is Rite Aid's and they don't have any organic/sterile ones..

Guess I need to go back down to Mass and goto walgreens since I hear they sell them

Organic and sterile are different things. Organic means they use no "unnatural" chemicals in growing the cotton. Sterile means they've been sterilized for medical use.

I get these from CVS. From their websites, it looks like Rite-Aid doesn't carry sterile cotton balls (although I'm guessing something like this would be the same thing, just in a roll instead of balls), and Walgreen's does, but online only, not in stores.

If you have CVS in your area, they stock it in store - that's where I found mine. If not, it looks like you can order online and have it shipped to you, and you can do the same with Walgreen's (they even have a 1000 count box, which would probably last the a decade).
