Kayfun 3.1 silica build.... for newbies

OK, I just bought myself a Kayfun because I wanted...you know....more out of my atomizer! (was using a nautilus until now)
So I prepared myself to mico-coiling by reading as much as I could in different forums and I will start one of these days...
Of cousrse I will try different build since there are sooooo many on the web (everybody claim having found the best:)) but there is a thing that I would like to know FIRST:
-How comes I saw 2 different families of tutorials...sometimes it seems the coils must be touching one another....and sometimes it seems the coils are spaced without touching....is there a reason for that or is simply 2 different way of doing the same thing???

Thanks

There are a hundred different ways to build a coil, they all do the same thing .... just a little differently.

However the KayFun doesn't really need a fancy build. I just use a 1.25 ohm coil wrapped around three strands of 0.8mm silica, and run it at 10 watts. (3.5v, 2.8a) What many of us have found is that the KF really benefits from being used on a regulated PV. (I use the Evolv Kick-2)
