Kayfun 3.1 clone by Ephoro - broken centre pin

Hi all

Need assistance please.

Using a kayfun 3.1 clone by ehpro, unfortunately I am in the habit of over tightening all manner of things. This bit me from behind recently while after cleaning and rebuilding my coil & wick managed to over tighten the ‘centre pin’ of my kayfun 3.1 clone to the extent that I managed to snap-off the ‘tread head’ on the centre pin completely!

I was looking around for somewhere I can pick up a replacement centre pin part alone, which obviously should have the same thread than the ‘kayfun 3.1 clone by ehpro’. Could thus far only find the centre pin replacement part from the official svoemesto website ‘http://www.svoemesto.de/kayfun-3-1-center-pin.html’. I cannot know for sure that the thread is the same as the one needed on the clone?

So before I order from Eastern Europe, anyone on this forum with some experience with these, or know where I may find a replacement stem that would fit the Ephro clone specifically?

I'm not sure to be honest. I can say that the Ehpros and real Kayfuns are mostly identical in every way, and you can interchange most parts. You might wanna chalk it up to a lesson learned, and get another Ehpro. Good luck.

Yes, you might want to just get a new one , sadly. You can try ebay and see if they might have it. Otherwise maybe find another.

thanks for the recommendations, I managed to track a US site which seems to stock it (and cheaper than SvoeMesto):

will weigh up the option around getting the centre pin only vs the complete unit, still need to ship it to SA from the states, which usually mean that it would be more economical to simply buy a new complete one
