I did a 2mm coil (28awg, 7 wraps) to build a micro cotton setup.
First I thought I used too much cotton so I tried it with less so its gurgling but it still tastes like cotton.
Maybe the coil is too close to the air tube ?
I fill it from the top.

I am a bit fed up with tank RBA-s, my kayfun and taifun won't work properly regardless of how I build them... My rda-s work fine...

Is it organic cotton? Are you allowing it time to properly wick? If it isn't organic, I'd suggest boiling your cotton a few times over and straining it. Not to mention giving it a few minutes to wick. You could also saturate the cotton wick and give it a few pulse fires. Check your air flow channels. Honestly without a detailed picture it would be relatively hard to trouble shoot.

Honestly, I had this issue with all cotton when i first started until I started boiling it. It removes that weird taste because it boils out the hydrogen peroxide.

That weird taste goes away after you Vape that tank for a while. With me, it was usually 3/4 of the tank, then it was great. But, if I boil it the taste is good right off.

I boil it three times. I pour out the water each time, refill and boil again, then again. I then lay the cotton balls out on paper towels to air dry. I flip them over on fresh paper towels after a few hours. I transfer them to ziplock baggies to keep them clean.

hydrogen peroxide is an unstable chemical... it will decompose into water and oxygen even in the presence of direct light ( thats why the bottles are opaque) if the cotton is dry, there is no presence of the hydrogen peroxide... Hydrogen peroxide is an oxidizer ( used in rocket fuel for mixed liquids) and can ( at higher percentages 50%+) literally remove your skin... the stuff you get at the drug store is a mere 2-5% solution....
