Well, the title is self explanatory. Which seems to have the best quality and least amount of problems? I'm leaning towards RobotTech at the moment, followed by Tobeco, but I don't know enough about the Infinite clone to even guess.

Any suggestions? I really like the RobotTech, but I really don't want to get it and then have buyers remorse because it isn't functional or good,

I bought and built the RobotTech version. Don't get it. The glass tube is poorly cut (the edges are chipped) and one of the coil screws stripped out as I was trying to attach the coil. Also, because I can't seem to stop it from leaking, it's sitting on the kitchen counter next to the sink right now. I am going to try to replace the o-rings next, but if that doesn't help, it's getting binned.

Robot Tech needed the most work of the three clones I've purchased, Red oring copper pin from FT wasn't as bad, Tobeco was the best of the three, I'll probably try a couple more, but so far Tobeco is best of my bunch.

Robot needed juice channels drilled as they weren't done properly (partially open) which led to dry hits, needed #16 oring swapped to stop leakage to the lower deck, juice control as received would not turn freely. juice control was the worse part of it, spent a couple hours to get it to work properly. I wouldn't buy another even if these issues were a guaranteed fix, Tobeco can be had for $20 shipped and all around mine was much better then the other two I purchased.

I'm not sure of the manufacturer of mine: got it off Evilbay for $25 shipped

Had SERIOUS problems with leaking into the bottom deck. Ended up getting a parts kit, and replacing several parts (1, 4, 7, 13, 14, 16, 18 & 19). ow have a very small amount of seepage occassionally (when I pull the deck).

Will be getting Tobecco next, given reviews

As I've complained enough on the attack of the clones thread, both my tobeco's leak. Tried the floss trick, worked at first, leaking again. Also, the afc screw seems to do nothing on both. I usually prefer a tighter draw and thought it seemed airy, tightened the afc screw completely but yet it keeps vaping away as if I did nothing. Puzzled by everyone else raving about the tobeco and I have not one but two duds.

Awaiting an oring order but that doesn't explain why the afc does nothing...

Were these Tobeco KF4s purchased from same supplier at same time? Tobeco has only recently (in my experience) stepped up the quality of products. They used to be so-so. It is entirely possible to get two bad units, after all these are just cheap clones. That said I find it a bit unlikely to receive two from different batches with same issues.

Not saying it IS user error, but it does come to mind. What have you done to these when they arrived? Leaking from where? Sorry haven't read your other posts if you've already mentioned. I'm no pro here, but in my opinion leaks on this device can be caused by two things, loss of pressure, or poor wicking, leading to flooding. You've already got the orings on the way so hopefully that will cure your leaking.

As for AFC it is a quite simple arrangement, if it isn't doing its job its simply not blocking the holes. Why isn't it blocking the airflow path? Only a very limited number of possibilities, either threads were not cut deep enough to allow the grub screw to turn in far enough, or it is completely undersized, doubting the latter.

One of my clones (not Tobeco) the grub screw would not turn in far enough to do anything, burrs left over during the tapping process caused this, simple fix, work the screw in and out. Take a piece of wire or something small enough to fit in the center post, use it as a measure to see if the grub screw is going in enough to block the air path.

As for people "raving" about individual experiences with the Tobeco, would you rather we not post anything? All any of us can do is convey our experiences with products we acquire. As I've already mentioned, I've purchased 3 different clones from 3 different manufacturers, fit, and finish on all three are pretty good, I've got to look extremely close to tell much difference. Function was another matter, one of the three, that being the Tobeco did not need work out of the box.

Sorry but your usage of the word "raving" seems a bit out of context, I've not seen any posts I would consider raving. Overall the failure rate of the Tobeco seems very low, is it the best choice? Maybe not, is it perfect, maybe not, but I've seen much less negative commentary on the Tobeco then the other commonly purchased clones.

Overall the KF4 would not be my first recommendation for the inexperienced, it is not as forgiving as many rebuildables. Honestly if your looking for a perfect KF4 experience perhaps you should just buy an authentic? As for clones, I'd bet the Infinite, or SXK will end up being top notch copy, based upon my previous experience.

I guess I'm in the lucky group. I have 3 Tobeco V4's and all work well. No leaking, threads all good and little oil residue to clean out.

If I could afford an authentic I would. There's a reason I'm not just getting both Tobeco's and Infinites to find out which one is better. If I could I would, or I'd get authentic.

As of now I'm leaning towards infinite simply because of their rep, but depending on what I hear about theirs and about Tobeco's recent ones, i might change my mind
