Yup machine oil. Cleaned mine 4 times before it got it all out. Nasty!

I use an ultrasonic cleaner to initially clean my RBAs when I get them. Use 120 F water and about 3-4 drops of Dawn liquid and let it run for about 24 minutes. I make sure I have it completely disassembled and all o-rings removed to ensure that all residue is removed. Then I run it again with fresh clean water for another 8 minutes and all traces of machining oil and crud is gone. It amazing the fine residue that appears in the UC's tank after that 24 minute cycle.

You state you're having issues finding good eliquids. Have tried the very high quality NET-based liquids from Ahlusion or GoodEjuice? These two companies make top-notch refined NET liquids with great flavor and vapor.

I have only tried the one NET juice I got from a member here. It's Black Cavendish, 6mg, but I'm not sure where from. Can barely taste anything at all from it. It sucks. The liquid smells like burnt rubber as well. Doesn't taste like it though thankfully... lol

I'm just sick of spending a bunch of money on juices, only to find they're crap. I'm almost out of juice though, so I need to order something... just don't know what or from where at this point.

Which ultrasonic cleaner do you use? I read mixed reviews on every cleaner I look up.

This is one of them I use. You may be able to find it from a different vendor, because you have to be a licensed to purchase from the linked site. They also make smaller capacity models, but this brand has been rock solid for me for years.

there is a cleaner on the market.... its called "Awesome Orange Cleaner" it will remove the machining oil from the metal quite well...
It is water "rinse-able", it is a de-greaser, and it smells good.. it wont harm the O-rings...
works better than standard dish soap ( which requires multiple washings to get rid of the smell taste)

I couldn't remove my 510 connection screw.. after the deck part unscrewed, the screw just kept spinning, it wouldn't come out.

Once the deck part (or, positive terminal block) is off, the 510 screw is no longer screwed into anything. Thus, you should simply be able to push it down from the top. Or you can slip the end of a flathead screwdriver under the 510 screw's head and sort of lever it downward against the outer 510 ring.
