Hi everyone, I have never tried the kayfun Lite but seen some positive remarks on it. I am considering a new version that has an adjustable air hole. The price seems reasonable- only $39 offered at Madvapes. As a newbie I have never made my own coil and don't even have the necessary gear such as voltmeter, appropriate mod etc. etc.. I use an ego-c twist that goes to 4.8 Volts max. My preferred coil is 2 ohm. If I were to go for it, what else should I buy? What mod, gauge wire, silica, etc. etc.... Thanks in advance.

A lot of people would say that if you don't know how to build a coil to not get a Kayfun, but I would disagree. I think it's a great device to start on. First, watch a TON of videos and get basic understanding of how it's done, how to do it safely and you'll be fine. I'd recommend a regulated VV/VW device such as an MVP or something similar, get you some 28 gauge Kanthal wire, organic cotton (both of these are readily available on amazon) and an ohm meter. Then pick up some little tools, tiny screwdrivers (though the kayfun will probably come with one), things to wrap your coils around (a lot of people use drill bits, I prefer allen key sets), tweezers, nail clippers, little things to make life easier, and you should be good to go.

It's all trial and error, and that's the fun in it. They kayfun is probably the best vaping purchase I've made to date. Once you learn how to build it properly, I'm sure you will thoroughly enjoy it. Happy vaping! :vapor:

Assume you know that $40 Kayfun is a clone. Make sure to clean it well. Each clone version seems to have it's on issues - I've been doing reading on this as well as other similar RBA's.

Only thing to be careful of is to build a coil that suits the mod you have. Please do not simply replicate what you see on YouTube even though there is some really good information.

Using a vv/vw device (I'd suggest an MVP 2.0) ...which has an ohm reader and an internal battery (no extra batteries to buy), to stay around the 1.8 -2.2 range. These devices will not fire below a certain point. If you get a mechanical, then you'll need extra batteries and an ohm reader. For these...you can do sub-ohm coils down to virtually as low as the battery allows. READ and know what you are doing when going in the mech/sub-ohm direction. I'd suggest start with MVP2 and then work your way to the mech's if you feel the need - this is not for everyone.

FYI... MVP2 through TuffPuffs (US vendor) or FastTech (China) will cost you $40 ...other places $60 and at a B&M could be more.
