Kayfun Quartz nano kit doesnt fit???

I purchased my KFL+ V2 from a local vape shop, not sure of the brand, but It seems to be of a very high quality. I decided to order the quartz nano tank off of FT, SKU1756802. So I went to go install the tank, and when I was screwing all the parts together I noticed the glass started coming away from the metal rings. With the base and top cap screwed all the way on, the glass just barely clears the o-rings, any more and it would leak. (I will post pics if anyone needs them the next time I empty my tank)

So I guess this is my question, is my chamber to long (the large tube the chimney screws into), or is the glass too short? I am very disappointed as I was really looking forward to using this tank.

Second question, all the reviews on the tank talked about how the o-rings are so tight that if you take it apart you'll probably break it trying to get it back together...I call shenanigans! mine just slides apart, and right back together with no effort at all...a new born baby could pull it apart. So what o-rings would you guys suggest I get to correct that issue? Im sure the hardware store has some, or I can order some, that are the same diameter but bigger around to make a tighter seal.

EDIT: I must have the EHpro KFL+ v2, it seems there is something different about this particular one that makes it so the nano kits don't fit right...is there anything I can do? I was really looking forward to this tank. lol

I have several of that exact kit. They work fine on genuine SM KFL+ and Kebo R91%, and although the o-ring/glass fit is tight on all of mine, there are several FT reviews complaining of a loose fit. Luck of the draw apparently. Can't say if it's the glass or the threaded collets.

On the o-ring fit, contact FT... they'll probably send you another, hand picked one, free of charge.

Sounds like the chimney is bottoming out in the top cap before the glass bottoms out on the kit rings. I don't have a clone KFL+ V2 in front of me, but I've read more than once that owners have had to drill the top cap a bit deeper to allow clearance. You could also shorten the chimney body.

I can't help you, but after reading many posts here and elsewhere about the Ehpro V2 having issues with aftermarket replacement parts I chose to just stick with what came in the box. Kinda sucks cause I have some awesome cinnamon roll juice I know will crack my tank, and haven't had it long enough to judge without a window, so using the metal center is out as is the m-tank and the clear middle tank. If you do find a solution, Please post it cause I would very interested.

Well...I found the problem, It's the top cap. I swapped it with my wife's Russian top cap and it fit beautifully...then I broke the glass trying to get a tighter fit on the O-rings.

So, in a nut shell, the glass tanks and nano tanks fit the Ehpro V2 just fine, BUT you have to get a different top cap (which are cheap and easy to find)...and don't force the glass over the orings...it'll break, lol.

Which top cap style did you have? The one with a single groove for the chimney o ring? Or the one with o ring fit in a channel on the top cap?

If I understand your question correctly, then the 2nd one. Mine actually sticks out on the inside a bit and the oring is up inside. But my wife's russian has nothing sticking out, it's completely flat and the oring is just right there in a little groove.

Sounds like you understood it just fine. The second type makes it more difficult to get the oring in and out, whereas the first type the oring is actually prone to just falling out/getting stuck on the top section of the chimney.

Yup. In fact the oring on the Russian top cap did get stuck on the chimney 2 times while I was messing with it. lol. It's a shame the glass broke on my nano tank, because it was sharp looking.

There's loads of replacement glass out there. I may pick one and check it out still. I'd love to shorten mine down some.

I just ordered this quartz kayfun/R9 step down Nano kit from Vivid Smoke for my Kebo R91..after reading some of these posts I hope I don't have any issues with it fitting or leaking..

Mine works perfectly because it's a good one. V1 Glass Kits | Science Of Vaping

I also bought a Rainbow Heaven cheap.... version when they were on sale for $10
It broke before I could use it. No wonder because the glass was paper thin.
The SoV extra glass I have won't fit it because the RH kit is made for thin glass.

Live and learn. The SOV kits are excellent. I have a V1 M kit.
