No matter what I do the wicking material gets burnt at the coil. I tried moving the coil up down, more and less resistance coils. The juice must not be getting to the coil I guess. I've have two of them and have tried a couple of dozen times with the same results. I have other attys and don't have any of these issues.

Sorry folks, I was in a hurry to leave work. Yes it is a kfl clone, the one with the air hole on the side. I have two others with the air hole on the bottom and haven't had any problems. Using 28g, 8 wraps micro coils. I have tried cotton over a two dozen times, very little, I can slide the cotton back and forth. Tried some other stuff that came with it, silica perhaps? Same deal, I have two of them and both do the same thing.

At first I thought maybe the coil was to close to the bottom so I built a bunch more and tried that, no change. Moved down a little, no help, same thing.

I'm going to take them completely apart and give them a good cleaning, since they have been recoiled and juiced so many times in the last week.

I also have a Aqua and a Fogger 4+ that wick with no problem. Going to try one more time before just buy something else.

Well, that was my take. I was being very careful to avoid too much cotton and made a very thin wick. It's tough to get it just right. I've had the best luck making the wick a little longer and sticking it down there at an angle across and over the inlet grooves, so it's kind of sitting over the top of them but not touching them.

I run Boba's Bounty in mine, it doesn't get much thicker than that. No matter what, I do get some burning every now and then, like, maybe one out of four or five tanks. I pretty much have to change wicks every tankful of that or the coil gets all nasty.

For experimental purposes, I'm running a tank that I added just to touch of distilled water to and it does seem to have thinned the liquid up a tiny bit.
