I have a kayfun clone that I have been using for the past several months... I always use the same build, 32g kanthal, 10-12 wraps and installed vertically. I also always vape the same juice which is Vanilla Custard by VCV at 100% VG. All of the sudden my kayfun isn't wicking. I use cotton wicks and it just isn't staying wet like it always did before. I don't understand because I've not changed anything. Please tell me if anyone has had this problem and any suggestions to fix it. I did put a few drops of distilled water in the juice to thin it a bit and still have the problem. Tell me what ya'll think......

Tighten up the draw a little bit. Many don't realize the airflow control also regulates the amount of juice pulled into the coil chamber. Try screwing the airflow screw in a half turn at a time until it starts to feed correctly. A lot of vapers want an open draw, but too open and you'll get dry hits. Happy vaping. :toast:

I doubt this considering I take my airflow screws completely out because I like airy deep lung hits and I've never had a problem. I take long, deep lung inhales. I take my airflow screw completely out of all my Russians and Kayfuns.... Have been for ages. My liquid never dries out.

check the o-ring at the top of the chimney where it meets the top cap .. have you had any leaking at all as well ?

also you haven't mentioned if it is a lite or 3.1 . 3.1 has the reservoir under the deck check to see if it is full or clogged.

juice flows from the tank through the channels as we know but airflow past the channels and up the chimney creates low pressure which draws the juice up those channels.

you may have the airflow wide open but how IS the draw ..

You can lead a horse to water....
I suppose that you think an geni is fed by capillary action when using a SS wick also. Well it's not, it's also a vacuum feed system . The low pressure is created in the mixing chamber (top cap) when you take a draw. The juice is then pulled up the SS wick by the pressure differential between the mixing chamber and the tank. Of course when you leave the fill screw out of the top deck you compromise the wicking ability of the device. Misinformation is rampant in the vaping community.

PS, Through out that cotton and get yourself so Ramie Top fiber. It's hands down the best wicking material that I've found for my KFL devices.

I would love to see that build...as I have never seen a coil mounted vertically on a kayfun. And also 32g wraped 10-12 times is going to put you well above 3 ohms..I wrapped one the other night 13 wraps on a 1/16 rod and it was over 4ohms
