Been using a 510 lr atty for the first time ever.. Just dripping right in to sample flavors... I use the regular plastic mouthpeice (no cotton holder).. Needless to say I figured out what the horrid burning taste was, I'm melting the end closest to atty... Tried with out mouthpeice and draw is gone... Do I need a different mouthpeice??
Keep burning the tip..

I am highly biased and love the pyrex drip tip from theecig.com however there are alot of drip tips that work very well.

hello. here's what i think. the bottom of the cartridge has a rectangle on it. look down into the atty and notice that there is a white rectangle in there. align the bottom of the cartridge with that rectangle. you will be making a T to the bridge of the atty this way.
When I dripped (until I got my new PV) I would cut about an eighth of an inch off the tip, then it wouldn't get close enough to burn. However, you should always still align the tip to the atty the correct way.
