Hi,

Am i in the right place? every time that I try to post a comment, I get logged out. i have to create the post, then copy, hit the submit which instantly boots me out, go back in, find the post, past and then submit again.

I use Google Chrome - updated through tools. set to clear cache everytime the browser closes. cleared adobe settings.

I don't know what to do. Is it a browser issue or something else? Can you advise?

Thank you.

My browser is not set to clear cookies, and this is the only place it happens. I've lost long posts that took near an hour to write with some research etc... and using IE I don't see a remmebe me option. LOL... I started a thread about this. I guess it's just something I have to remmeber... copy any long post because if I try to even preview it, it will be gonzo. Into the black hole of the internet.

This is one of 4 message boards I frequent, and the only one with this anomaly.

Which version of Internet Explorer and which operating system do you use, please? I will try to replicate the missing Remember Me button issue.

Please note the button is not seen unless you are logged out. Also note that you say, "It seems to remember me, as soon as i put the first letter of my username in, it autocompletes the username and password" - this is taking place within your browser, as the site frontend does not know your name or password, it doesn't know 'you'.

One answer would be to use a better browser such as Opera or Firefox, IE has so many problems it's tough to take care of all of them. Special JavaScript and CSS code has to be written for each version of IE, and sometimes for different OSs that IE might run on. In contrast the most that ever has to be done for good browsers is a new line or two in the CSS file (the file that tells a browser how to display a page).

It is also more secure to use a password manager such as Roboform or Keepass - especially if you use Internet Explorer. The passwords are not then held by your browser, they are held in a more secure encrypted format by the 3rd party specialist encryption app. The idea of keeping an online banking password in IE is kind of worrying.

Rolygate Just to clarify ~

Renro is resolved after using the "remember me" login button. (Goggle Chrome)
NoMatches is using (IE) and is having a difficult time finding the "remember me" button and experiencing the same issue of lost posts.
