I'm using an ego c twist with kanger t2 clearos. Top coil with long sighs. I've tipped my VP, not tipped it, etc. Sometimes they will be just fine, other times I am burning my throat. Most of the time, I should say. Taste leaves very much to be desired as well. They work just ok brand new, I've also tried cleaning them out.

Second week vaping. Ready to buy something else maybe? Smoked an analog yesterday, going back to those is absolutely not an option.

Any feedback would be awesome and greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I tried the Kanger T-series clearos months back and had the same results as you. Everything I tried to fix the harshness didn't help.

I've since tried and liked the Kanger Evod and Kanger Protanks. The Innokin iClear 16 and 30 clearomizers.

My preference is the Innokin iClear 30. Dual-top coils with 16 wicks. Easy top top juice fill. 2.5-3 ml capacity. Pretty decent flavor and vapor for a clearomizer. Adjustable mouthpiece for added comfort. I've been rotating between four of these for over a month and not had to replace a head yet. No harshness.

Sorry you got stuck with the crappy devilry system. A good rule of thumb with off the shelf stuff get the latest version. China dose not do R&D they release something and then fix the problems as the complaints come rolling in. Lots of vendors prey on new comers selling them yesterdays junk.

I see some of the same crappy delivery systems that sucked when I started. Dont feel bad or get discouraged it happens to us all. Do some research before you buy. Both here and youtube. Youll do better when you can make an informed purchase. Throwing a dart and hoping for a bulls eye seldom works.

I'm surprised seeing Baditude post in here that he didn't make his recommendation on trying a cartotank. I've found these to be far superior to the clearos after getting the learning of how to properly prime the carto down. Protanks come a close second to me with my AGA-T+ just collecting dust now, could never quite figure the RBA scene out and got tired of it working awesome for half a day then suddenly hot-spot horrible taste city. Just make sure if you do try a carto/tank out get single coil cartos, the amp limit on the egos doesn't allow for you to get the proper performance.

Another suggestion if you want to stick to the clearos is the Vision brand Vivi Nova. I used one for a while and found it to be a rather satisfying vape, just not much a fan of the really warm vapor that they give.

Actually the T2 can deliver a very nice Vape.
Those that prefer a clearomizer and a Top coil for warmer vape would likely prefer the T2 over most clearos.

Op did not state what ohm coils are in use, what power level is being used or what e-liquid(make/blend) all this can make for a great or crappy Vape.

I have my Tanks and My drippers. My Vivi's and my Cartos. Still I use and enjoy using most of the Kanger line including the T2.

To much power Harsh hit
Nic to high - Harsh hit
Draw to hard - Harsh hit
to much PG - Harsh hit

Didn't mention your Blend - i.e. 70/30, 50/50 etc. Wicking is critical for a decent Vape. T2 works pretty well right out of the box with slightly thinner liquids like 70/30. A thicker e-liquid may be cause for some minor adjustment.

You say you have been at this for 2 weeks. Have you changed coils? have you removed the coil and cleaned it? Gunk build up will severely effect proper wicking.

One suggestion, 2 volts over ohms is a good reference point. I generally start at 1.8v over and adjust from there.
i.e. 2.2ohm coil = 4.0-4.2 volts setting.

OP is only in his second week of vaping. If he had been vaping for a while longer, I would likely have suggested a cartotank. IMO, cartotanks have a bit of a learning curve, more so than a clearomizer. When starting out, I believe in the KISS principle. (Keep It Simple Stupid) I've found that I like the iClear 30 for its convenience factor, flavor is just a notch below a cartotank.

It's true though, I've found cartotanks to provide more flavor and being more consistant in vape quality. Much of this is finding the right carto for your vape style. I've had the best success with Ikenvape cartomizers. Not all cartos are created equal, just as not all clearos are created equal.

Proper Terminology: Is it a carto, a tank, or what?

Ive been vaping for four days. I have a Kanger mini protank2, a ts3, and picked up a t3 yesterday. The pt2 and the ts3 have been great. The t3 seems to gurgle if ya dont hit it slow and smooth. So far Im happy with the Kanger stuff.

Ive gotten lucky with the juices I have because they all hit pretty smooth. I like the changes of hit/flavor with the egoC twist.

OP, I would suggest playing with your twist voltage and trying some different juice...thats just my noob advice though!

I like the Kanger T2's. The standard 2.2 ohms pushes out huge clouds of vapor, a great hit, and decent flavor. I've been running some on an MVP at 4 volts and it's been... perfect.

Still like the iClears as well (a bit better in the flavor department).

I don't get any harshness from the clearo, so it might be your juice OP.

It might be a bit of a wicking problem with those VG percentages. You might try adding one drop of water to your tank, slosh it around until it's mixed, and see if that helps. I vape most clearos at 1.6 - 2.0 ohms, but with Kanger varieties I go 2.2 - 2.5, so I suspect more voltage might not help.

Maybe we're missing the obvious, that the coil and/or flavor wick are gunked up and inhibiting flow of the liquid. Regular hot water rinsing will prevent this somewhat, but once it's happened, more aggressive measures are called for. A new head may be what's needed. If you have one, it might be time to swap it and see if that solves the problem. If so, you can save the old head and read up on dry burning later. Right now, you just need a good vape!

If it's a top coil it might not wick properly no matter what. Some of the top coil tanks are like that which is why so many are fans of bottom coil tanks. HST Bad's suggestion about the iclear is a good one. That's a top coil & is a nice performer. Also you might like bottom coils better so maybe getting an evod or protank might be a good move. I was a top coil tank user for a long time & recently switched to evods. I have really been liking them, although I will say that they're a bit more messy when filling than top coils I've used. But once filled, they perform quite nicely & I haven't had any problems with mine. It's been very consistent.

Something I do that might be helpful to you, before you buy anything do a google search for reviews on the item. There is often feedback on these devices that will let you know if people are having problems with them or not so you can avoid poorly designed products. Really the only way to find out if things in the vaping world are decent is to ask other users & you can often find out quite a bit about the product from just a google search (in fact I think it's much easier to find info on ecf with a google search than by searching the ecf forum lol). Just a suggestion. :)

Good luck & I hope you get something that works for you.
