I have 15 bottles of juice. And over the course of the day or even 20 minutes later sometimes, I can't taste my juice anymore hardly.

Same with or without cleaning the coil and fresh wicking between juices.

I am still coming off cigarettes. Except for the other day (had a bad one so I smoked half a pack) I'm down to just 2 or 3 a day for the past couple weeks. I don't know if still not free of analogs is causing this.

I'm using a kanger 50 watt subox with a tfv4 mini tank with the rebuildable deck. .62 ohm twisted coil. Was using a .72 Clapton coil also but same thing was happening. Wattage anywhere for 18 to around 22 for twisted and 25 tops for the clapton.

Well it could be the start of vaper's tongue where your tastebuds all die off and are replaced with ones that function. With that said, that occurrence usually seems to happen at around 3 weeks to a month in to vaping only. I don't know how intermittent smoking would affect that, although I'd imagine the less you smoke, the more your tastebuds seem to heal.

How long have you been vaping for and how many cigarettes are you typically down to? If it's very few, I guess vaper's tongue could be a factor. I don't think it's an issue of your juices if you have that many to rotate. So, I'm left with vaper's tongue even though I'm not entirely sure that is what it is.

Have you changed your vaping style recently? Higher wattage or lower? Were the juices fine when starting out? Have you had a cold or allergies recently? All these things could cause an effect.

I do notice that when I vape a "favorite" flavor too long, it's not muted exactly, but it tastes "stale" to my tastebuds and so I do like some variety and to let juices "rest."

If it's vaper's tongue, remedies include a tongue scraper, sharp tastes, like sucking on a coffee bean or lemon zest, lots of hydration and good oral hygiene. Most of all, remembering "it will pass, it will pass," over and over again. Some folks vape unflavored for a while, a) to let their tastebuds rest and b) with no expectation of flavor, there is less "disappointment". Can also suck on lozenges or chew gum to keep your mouth moist as vaping can be dehydrating.

Best of luck figuring it out. May ask some other people to see if they can taste your setups. Also, how much juice are you going through a day? If it's significant, you may just have vaper's fatigue, where your tastebuds kind of "lose interest" in your flavors, as you are oversaturating them.

Hope some of this is helpful and good luck,

Anna

It's been about a month to the day that I got my new mod. First go around with sub ohm vw. I can't go above 23 watts really without scorching the wicking. A lot more flavor and vapor than I've ever had before. Mostly just carts that I dripped on years ago prior to my regulated mod.

I never remember having this problem before so I thought it might be the gear I'm using.

I'm down to 2 cigs a day pretty much (1 in the morning and 1 in the evening) except for a couple other days where I had more. Getting past the 24 hour mark without a cig is presenting a challenge.

Thank you firnthe info though. I'll look up vapor tongue now that I know what to search.

Your taste buds are damaged from smoking and are now being overloaded with flavor, rotate your flavors more often and drink more water.

I figured maybe still coming off cigs it might play a part.

I am slamming a lot more water. I forget how bad cotton mouth gets from vaping. Especially when I wake up. Seems to help slightly.

I have hardly been filling my tank (3.5 ml) up all the way. Switching out flavors about 3-4 times a day.

Sounds like it will pass at least in time.

Thanks

Maybe you should stop chasing the 'flavour'.
Treat vaping as an alternative to smoking - what flavour are your cigarettes ? From memory mine tasted like ash and poison.....
When i switched from smoking to vaping i just wanted an alternative method of putting nicotine into my body to stop the craving. I managed this with a 'Tobacco' flavoured e-liquid in a MTL set-up. Long after i had managed to quit i then started searching for yummy flavours to experiment with but always had the 'tobacco' (RY2 for me) flavour to fall back on as an alternative to smoking.
Try switching your tank to a MTL set up if you want flavour. Stopping smoking will also help once your sense of taste and smell have recovered.
