Keep or Upgrade my Kanger Protank II?

So I've currently got a Kanger Protank II and I'm looking to buy a Mini Protank II, but I've been considering purchasing a Protank 3 (and its mini version) or a mini aerotank or genitank. The problem is that the atomizers are different. I'm looking for some feedback on these tanks, as I think it'd be inconvenient to have tanks with different atomizers.

Should I just roll with a Protank II and Mini Protank II? Should I worry about Kanger dropping the manufacturing for these atomizers (as they have newer tank models now)?

Is it hard to keep track of which atomizer is which? I'm currently looking at getting an airflow control base for my protank II, and picking up a mini protank 3 (my setup that I use the Pro 2 on is a bit large to take to work)

I've got an emow mega, it uses the same coils as the PT3 as far as i know. I really like it. They do burn through juice faster though. If you do try it, make sure you get the ones with the enclosed wick. They work perfectly. I'm puffing on one with the older exposed wick dual coils, great vapor production but it tastes burnt every few hoots. But i just wanted to see if they worked lol.
I've actually got a PT2 coming in the mail this week. I like the dual coils but I dunno, some juices just taste better with the single coils. I have no idea why that is. Plus the singles give you a smoother cooler vape i find.

depends what PV you are using. I would never use dual or triple coils on an ego type batt. Drains batt fast.

Also the PT3 uses up way more juice, as more coils tend to do.

So there is that.......

I would stick w/same coil clearos myself......suggested to me was to upgrade by getting an air flow controller for the PT2s......maybe do that? (edit, oh, I see you already said that, had not read that post yet LOL)

Don't bother with the PT3--no airflow control. Get the Aerotank mini instead. BUt you'll have to refill it all the time--have you considered regular Aerotank?

And yes, grab that AFC--I use the V1 and V2--they both work fine.

PT 1 and 2 take single coils. All Aerotanks , PT3, eVod glass and T3D take dual coils.

Forget the PT3 they suck. Get the airflow control for your 2 and rebuild your coils. Will breathe new life in those Kanger tanks. My Kanger Mega takes the dual coil heads but I still get a much better vape using the rebuilt single coils in it even.

Honestly, when I used Protank 2's I consistently dealt with gurgling and flooding so I eventually upgraded and never looked back. If you're enjoying those tanks, then definitely keep doing so since there's no point ditching something that works. However, if you're facing the same issues, I'd recommend either the Aerotank Mega or the Nautilus Mini. Both are fantastic and a big step up in terms of quality and innovation. It's up to you if you want to spend the money, but honestly it's worth every penny.

Keep in mind, the higher priced coil packs are due to longer life of the coils. I remember my Protank 2 heads would last a week, maybe 2 if I was lucky. Both of the tanks I mentioned have heads that can last upwards of a month for me if I vaped them every day. They also allow you to up the wattage a bit before experiencing dry hits. I remember vaping my Protank 2 at about 8-9 watts if I recall correctly. Now I'm vaping both of these tanks at 15 watts and I don't experience any dry hits.

Either way, if what you have is working then by no means feel rushed in upgrading.

Aerotanks come with dual coils--a 1.5Ω DC consists of two 3Ω coils configured in parallel, thus higher wattage is required to make the DC perform well.

I still use my antique protank1's, they have a larger tip hole than my pt2's but I have drilled out airflow adapters on all my protanks. IMO your not upgrading to a protank3 but increasing your frustration level instead by using a stock dual coil setup. If your thinking of upgrading then you have to get into rebuilding cause there is nothing better than a homebuilt coil to blow any stock coil out of the water.
Once you start using and building a kayfun or russian your protanks will suffer on the shelf since you can't get the quality vape out of a protank like you get out of a kayfun.

I would recommend the Protank2 mini and the Protank2. These single coil tanks are very easy to rebuild and vape extremely well using cotton wicks. I have Aspire and Kanger duel coil tanks too but they don't see much use because they are near impossible to rebuild and the stock coils do not work nearly as well as the ones I make myself for the Protank2's.

I went with a Mini PT3 and Mini Genitank. I got an airflow base for my PT2 (it functions like the one on the Genitank) and it's great! The Minitanks are pretty good, and the ego type battery I got was an eCom-Twist from Joyetech. The batterylife is pretty good with the minitanks, even with the dual coils.
