One more thing about battery safety...you should let batts rest about 30 mins after using them and before charging them. And you should let them rest about 30 mins after charging them and before using them.
This is a carry over from a RC rule... but it isn't explained...
as vapers we dont charge and discharge in the same way, as the strain on RC's is much higher.
My RC lithium packs can get really hot, only then do i let them rest before attempting to recharge.
And even then, my charger has a temp sensor that will keep me from charging at unsafe temps.
With my AW's coming off the charger at such a low charge rate, i have never experienced a warm battery... So this rule is completely unnecessary. Because most 18xx0 series chargers charge at 500mA.
i charge my 18650's @ 1.5Amps, and even then they barely get warm.... but they are charged in about an hour
Rule of thumb... if the battery is as warm as your dinner let it rest to room temp... and this is being very conservative.
Manufacturers specs should have an operating temp. range and that is technically what we should be following.
