This can't be legal, children have no right being medical guinea pigs for companies, especially Chantix.
Chantix causes suicial and homicidal tendencies in adults, who knows what it will do to children?

I went to clinicaltrials.gov and searched for Chantix + adolescent and found 5 studies listed (one of which is completed.)

Search of: chantix adolescent - List Results - ClinicalTrials.gov

The completed one was finished in 2007, and no results are posted. If I were a researcher involved in one of the four studies that are recruiting, I’d want to find out what those results were before I proceeded to expose more kids to varenicline.

Hint: The answer to my question lies in the word between "Psychiatric" and "Study".

I'd be willing to bet that 90% or more of the Pfizer cases involving psychiatric problems were never committed to a mental institution. The metal hospitals turned out their residents on the streets years ago. Today, it is very very rare for a person to be committed against his or her will.

Just because someone isn't hospitalized doesn't mean that he or she isn't very ill, isn't dysfunctional, or didn't die before they got anywhere near a mental hospital.

Bottom line: The headline is misleading. It appears to be saying that there is no risk of psychiatric problems for those who take Chantix, when actually it is saying that the risk of being hospitalized with a psychiatric diagnosis is slim.
