I use an all metal cartridge medium and you still get a burnt taste if you hold down the switch for a while.

i was courious and opened a dead atomizer yesterday...
the heater element is a small spiral,and some sort of wick goes through it.
that is why it has the burn taste when it's dry,i think.

After the first few strong drags it drops off a bit, then it seems to stay consistant for quite a while. How ever being a 901 screwdriver vaper I find myself trying to top up alot and only needing 1 or 2 drops compaired to the 5 or 6 I am used to using.

I dont know, after about 6 hours topping one cart it didnt seem to be working as well. I then went to an original 901 atomizer not an rn and it seemed to work much better. Strange. I'll keep expiraminting and let you know.

found this place and it seems to be the cheapest for 1/4" rope Renegade Juggling Navigation
7.50$ for 2 feet shipped, if your in california tax is added though.

Also I have just shot them an email asking them if the core of the rope is kevlar or polyester. And to my understanding we cut away the fabric and use the core as cartridge filler right?

I got the email back from renegade juggling and he said that the exterior is the same material as the core material which is a kevlar and fiberglass blend. The fiberglass kind of makes me worry a bit, but I don't know much about these things.

I think you're probably being glib, but I would worry that the ShamWow felt would probaly retain the liquid too much, not letting it wick to the atomizer, and that the felt would burn too easily in contact with the atomizer element.
