I am totally self taught (failed typing class in high school) Total "hunt and peck" but I've gotten very fast. When I'm not constantly getting letters reversed, I can type super fast.
Have a lot of trouble texting on my phone (keyboard way too small) but I do actually love the "word/phrase prediction" feature... a life saver. It can also be hilarious sometimes!

Your experience with the prediction feature reminds me of my hilarious (sometimes embarrassing) failures with Dragon Natural Speaking and its struggle with my Kentucky pronunciations.

CMD-Ky, I'm from California but both my parents families are from Oklahoma... I still grew up learning to talk with a "southern drawl"
I know what you mean, I was born and raised in Oklahoma.
If you or anyone is concerned about typing and getting spelling errors should try the Grammarly app. My DIL told me about it because my grandson, who has ADHD, uses it and it greatly helped with his writing in school.

To funny this thread that I commented on already yesterday. On boxing day for $25 I ordered an Alexa Eco Dot 3. Delivered this afternoon. All ready used it twice for misspelled words that were highlighted red and made the corrections before hitting post reply. I see a good use for it as it is a fun toy. CHEERS!

I have never had a hint of Dyslexia in my life until I started getting into discussion forums! Just typing that first sentence it happened twice. I keep reversing letters. Anyone else do this (that normally doesn't have any issues)? Thank good ness for spell checker (I'm on a computer... can't imagine how you folks using phones manage with "auto-correct" BS)

Its an Adveres effect of Nicotime.
